New Car Smell

Anyone know of any products that smell like new car, that actually work? When I bought my truck last summer it smelled like new car for several months even though it was 6 years old.

There is a large list on This Lexus Site

None of the products really worked, I'm "newcarsmell" on there, I just ordered a bottle of Lane's new car scent because of a friend's recomendation, the guy on the lexus site says it doesn't work, oh well

There has to be some kind of spray. They also suggested putting some certain glue or goop on some cardboard under the seat. Also a rug from staples that has a vinyl bottom.

I don't know, but I would love to have that smell back. oh, and I know the actual new car smell is sort of toxic, but I still love it!

Most of what you smell are the new plastic/vinyl parts off gassing, right? So, just get a new vehicle. I've never smelled one of those things that work.

Hell, in 50yrs we'll know how horrible it was for use to drive new vehicles instead of waiting for them to age before purchase. Or so my wife says. LOL

Good luck.

Highly addictive too! Almost as intoxicating as the smell of new leather. I use Zaino's Leather in a Bottle to condition my leather seats and give me that wonderful new leather smell.

Since it is the vinyl and plastics giving off the new car smell, have you thought about getting a new set of rubber/vinyl floormats?

There's only one way to get the true new car scent and that is to buy a new car. Have you noticed that the new car smell varies by brand, but still smells great? GM's definately have the best new car smell though.

The closest thing I have used to make it smell newish was Nu Vinyl. I like it and it is all I use unless I can't find it anywhere.
