Can someone tell me where or show a picture of the vent solenoid for me ? I think I can fix this myself if I knew what part(s) to change. Any other advice on the subject is appreciated.

If you search for the part for your truck, you might just find a picture of the part! Sometimes they don't have a picture, but usually do.

im having the same problem with my 2006 chevy ext. lt model with the 5 3/4 bed and its a 2wd. im getting a po449 code and i know what the code means but i looked in all the locations everbody says to look for the vent valve but its not there around the gas tank. maybe if you can help me i would appreciate it.

Correct me if I'm wrong....but I can't see this as a "must fix immediately" item....can't see how it would harm the vehicle or effect how it runs. :lol:
