Where To Place The Jack/jackstands

I need to jack my 2002 Yukon XL, but not sure where the best place to place the jack would be. I assume the frame, but curious if there are designated points that should be used. I will also need to place it on jackstands in a few weeks when my shocks and rear springs arrive.

Any suggestions/advice?

On the frame somewhere.

1. Jack on frame near center of front/rear of vehicle.

2. Place jackstands on both sides of jack.

3. Remove jack.

4. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 on opposite end of vehicle.

5. Complete these steps in reverse when done.

6. Profit.

You can jack up the truck by the rear differential and then place the jack stands under the rear axle housing near each wheel.

The truck can also be jacked up by the frame cross member under the engine, and you can place the jack stands under the lower control arms.

If you do the center crossmember in front, use a 4x4 block too cause most jacks won't lift high enough to get the front wheels off the ground...The IFS REALLY has a lot of travel...
