Remove Bump Stop Or Not On A Leveled Truck

Recommended Posts

I leveled my 05 Yukon 2500 4x4 a few months ago with the Pro-Comp keys and shocks (2” longer in the front). I’ve had it offroad several times and keep making excuses to my wife as to why the front end goes to the moon over every pothole. I know cranking the bars will tighten the ride a bit, but this is pretty severe… even for me. I searched around and have seen guys suggest both removal and extending the bump stops. Which is right?

Would love to lift it... but at the time I have two Great Danes that need to jump into the back so I choose the only option I knew about. A 200lb dog doesn't jump much higher than the stock ¾ ton rear height with 285s and as they get older, they’ll have an even harder time getting in.
