Replacing Ecm On 99 Suburban?

The dealer is calling for an ECM replacement on my 1999 GMC Suburban. The quote he gave me for the part was something like $350. I found an AC Delco Reman unit from AC-direct.com for $235 and Advance Auto can get me a Cardone brand ECM for $109. Any advice on which one I should get?

Well the GM dealer is going to need to program a new ECM installed in your vehicle.

I suppose you could ask if you could buy the part and they install it and program it?

They said they would. The question is do I go with the remanufactured AC Delco part or the cheaper Cardone?

You are asking the cheapest person west of the Mississippi!

(I do a lot of shopping at the wrecking yard myself.)

I would of course go the least expensive route, but I would make darn sure it was the correct part.

I'd go eBay if you know the part number....
