Had Int Steering Shaft Replaced

so on my way back home from work in my 06 z71 sierra with 24k noticed my temp gauge at 250, pulled over coolant everywhere, 1/2 mile from my dealer I pulled in while there figured id have that stupid shaft replaced, so now it seems i have more engine noise from under dash area then before, i checked under there seems in tact, any one else have this happed?? by the way coolant leak was a broken lower radiator hose clamp, free coolant change...haha
