hello all, im looking at lifting my truck here and have been searching around looking at lift kits. The first thing i noticed was the large difference in prices for kits that raise the truck the same amount (ex. a 6" BDS kit will cost 1800 while a rough country kit could be bought for 1000). I am also wondering about the offsets and backspacing on wheels. I am hoping to keep my wheels and tires inside the factory wheel wells to save the 500 it would cost for flares, however i am unsure of what exactly i should be looking for in these areas. If it helps i liked the look of the xd spys (17x9) and the mickey thompson baha ATZ (35x12x5).

look forward to any info you may be able to provide

anything over 9 inches on a truck with factory wheels will stick out past the fenders. Running 12.5inch wide 35's and back spacing required to clear them on turns will require you to use flares because you'll be sticking out 2-4 inches.

I'm in the same boat as you are for finding a lift...

BDS makes ZONE lifts, so i was thinking about one of those, but in the end i'm just going to pay off my truck frist then get a BDS lift.

Yeh, I was getting the 6" pro comp (on back order) from one place, then called another and sold on getting rough Country..But for factory 17" rims, you have to get aftermarket rims..I live my factory GMC rims..Well, I was disappointed to find out that I need to spend the extra money...I also dont even know where to begin with rims..Is there and way around this??
