  2. I have the eibach pro truck lift kit on my Sierra. Includes the springs and adjustable struts for front and +1” shocks for rears. I’ll never turn back. I absolutely love the ride quality. I ended up with 2.5” of level and added a new block in the rear for an additional 1” rear lift. On 33 tires and 20” wheels, the truck feels planted. 3. No gap, be nice about Binki. He served with me on my last deployment to AFG. A child sent me a care package, Binki was inside. He was my Scout, FireWatch, ammo runner. I've had him for five years, still has AFG moon dust, and some sand left in him...

  4. Those with lifted trucks, prefer to go with Amps powered as the come down versus out. I like the OEM powered steps since I’m it lifted (except for a level). I was working on a customer’s lifted truck and almost fell on my a** trying to get out. Habit to put my foot on the running board. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  6. Why on earth would your remove the best designed & functional power running boards on the market today? I have used mine so many times cant image a truck without them, from cleaning the roof, clay bar my windshield to getting into my truck from the side in my garage, no room front or back when the garage door is closed. To knocking off rocks and dirt off my shoes before jumping to my truck, lastly... huge pet-peeve of mine, helps reduce people from sidling out of my seats it forces them to put a leg out and step down vs just slip and slide out of my truck with not steps, the factory NON-power steps are too close to the truck to be of any good use. if dont want them deployed just turn them off. Just get a nice vinyl wrap, it hold up for a long time. I hope you got PPF, if not do it soon or you will regret it.

  10. I'm trying to decide if I want to keep these things. If I keep them I'm going to have to black out the chrome through. Been considering selling them but I don't want to cause an issue with the electronics of the truck. How does the truck react to removing them? Does it constantly warn you about it? If anyone is interested in buying them, PM me in case I choose to do so

  11. I have spent more than 5 hours looking for a center console so I can do this to my truck and I can not find one for sale any where but ebay for an ungodly price. Where is everyone getting these things and what can I expect to pay for one? Soon as I have one in my hands I will be ordering your harness so I can get it installed in my 2015. Thanks!

  12. I put one of these up with two labor helpers this was used the cost was $3,500. It's 30 by 100 and 1 inch hail bounced off of it like a trampoline. I'm under a walnut tree and walnuts bounce right off of it as well snow slides off and the fabric has about a 15-year to 20 year life span. I don't have a Joe a in this neighborhood. So I can pretty much do what I want which is a good option to have. Brand new this thing costs about $10,000 and it comes complete with everything you need to assemble it. Just my two cents. You can also find much smaller units with very capable covering that would work real well, and they are easily disassembled and moved if need be. This unit was called clearspan and some competitors are called coverall. Costco also sell something with clear plastic windows in it for about $300 for $100 but only expect about 3 years out of it you can always replace the cover as the framework stays pretty strong

  13. I had mine wrapped. Way easier than paint and if they get chipped up just get them rewraped.

  14. IMO The most cost effective would be to build a pole barn yourself if you're capable.

  15. 210,000 on my 04 that I bought brand new. 6 inch lift with 35's and still on the original bearings. Lift has been on since 05.

  16. I hope you are wrong. I do however keep up with the maintenance. My 14 has had the condenser and radiator replaced under warranty. I could have done both of those items if I had not had warranty. I'm not too worried about it giving me problems. I have been one that trades pretty regularly. This one I hope lasts me another 5 years.

  17. Bought one, installed it on my 18, noticed same little gap, completely forgot about it till now that you’ve brought it up lol. It’s very common, happened to me on my neighbors 14 too. A couple days later you’ll completely forget about it, looks good to me, good job! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. I had the accessory grab handle added to my 15, no gap. I took it off and used it on my 18 and there is a little gap. Maybe a function of headliner shape or reuse....I don’t know. Barely noticeable but I know it’s there.

  21. Thank you! just put them on a few weeks ago and love them. Not that the standard DL8 mirrors were bad but these towing mirrors offer so much more visibility and love the look.

  23. This thread has made me happy. I've had 2 NBS trucks that went well over 300k miles mostly trouble free. My biggest concern about the 14 I bought is that it wont compete in the long run. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  26. Got the driver assist handle installed at the dealership hoping it wouldn't have the gap issue with the headliner others have reported when doing it themselves, but turns out it must just be how that part was designed. Not bad but a little annoyed I paid 20 bucks for them to do it and it still isnt really perfect. The last picture is the passenger side handle which has no gap for comparison. If anyone knows how to get that gap to go away please let me know, otherwise I'll just live with it since the handle still seems perfectly sturdy and functional.

  28. I now have almost 9k miles on my 8 speed and not a single issue. I do notice that on colder mornings, if I do not use remote start or let it warm up a bit the first few times it shifts from 1st to 2nd are a little harsh but not bad. After it is warm though there are no issues. I am going to try switching to AMSOIL transmission fluid to see if the improved cold flow properties help with that.

  30. Hey guys & gals. Kinda new here, & I see the post is older, but sure it doesn't hurt to learn more. So just over a month ago I had a 19-20 something year old jump 3 lanes of traffic & slammed me head on......... Since I bought this truck about a year ago, I've been looking on this site & others to see what people are doing, what works & what doesn't. When I saw the pic of the 2 door silver Sierra with the hood done on it, I knew I was ganna do it, saving my cash & then the accident happened, so I spoke to the shop owner & he agreed (since the cost was about the same) that he'd do the "Ram-Air" style hood for me.... Well got to tell u guys I didn't know (since he never told me or asked me if he could do this other stuff to it & just did it anyway) the shop owner did a 2019 Frontend Conversion to my 2015 Denali..... This is by far that one time you don't mind a shop did other stuff & didn't ask/tell u..... So I'll throw a pic up the day I bought her & the day they finished the work. You all can judge & let me know what u all think? Enjoy.....

  31. For those with the "Off-road" screen on the Diver Information Center (DIC) that shows the 4WD mode and tilt/incline...It will also show which wheels have lost traction by changing from green to orange and flashing. Kinda neat

  34. I wish I could put one of these hoods on without the functioning intake. The hoods look like something a middle schooler designed on the bottom side. I like the look of the outside but could not care less about the functionality.

  35. There are dozens and dozens of threads in various forums that have discussed the problems associated with the AFM cylinder shut down thing in these motors. Many experience no problems, but there are enough example of problems that GM has tech bulletins out about this in an attempt to correct problems. So much so that many have opted to disable the AFM via a Range device or a tune. I disabled the AFM on my 2013, partly to avoid the problem reasons, but primarily out of principle. Many claim they cannot tell when things switch, but I sure could on the rolling, hilly terrain I usually drive on. And I am an old Cavalry Sergeant... I expect everyone to pack the gear. I paid for 8 cylinders and I expect them all to work. No taking OEM, Union, Government sponsored smoke breaks while the other cylinders do the work. No sir. Every cylinder has to help move the vehicle. This is one of the many reasons I finally dumped that junk and got a 2015 2500HD with a 6.0L. At least I don't have that AFM stuff shoved down my throat.
