Funny, i have a AT4 and just installed bilstein shocks front and rear and removed the life kit. I installed base sierra cv axles in the front. The length is the same but the housing part that goes into the diff is slightly smaller.

Just got a call from my mechanic… After going back with a fresh head and a good nights sleep he found a ground wire that didn’t get tightened… Problem solved !!!! Thank you guys for your input means a lot…

Cant believe your dealership gave you back your truck without a steering wheel air bag this could run into all kinds of legal issues if you get into and accident.

In 2011 I test drove a challenger. I had a 74 barracuda new as my second car. It of course was miles better. My brother owns one. It had a stick and was priced right. I passed when I found it had cylinder deactivation. I bought a Genesis Coup instead. Much to my surprise it was quicker. I have to agree all things equal GM is dropping the ball it’s not really an enthusiast auto maker anymore. Even Ford has SUVs that offer more performance than GM. Shame on GM.

Do you happen to have the part numbers for everything you had to buy so you didn’t have to pull the factory struts apart? Thinking of doing the same on mine and not bother messing with the pulling the factory ones apart. thanks

It took 6 qts or the mechanic put in 6 qts? Does the dipstick read overfull? You sure its a V6 engine? 4.3L V6 can be confused with 4.8L V8 at times. The owners manual calls for 4.5 qts in the 4.3L V6; 6.0qt in the V8 engines. So it would appear your mechanic is wrong. Show him the owners manual...

Power wash could help. I would shut off the dash switch and give it enough time to dry the electronics/motor out. Compressed air may help. I've had some that just could not be brought back to full functionality. Very expsensive to fix.

Better. The ride overall is a touch firmer but has none of the pogoing in the front or the choppiness in the rear. I think it makes it much more comfortable.

GM just went limp on us.

Bronco is marketing genius, it's 95% of the off road ability of a Rubicon, but significantly better as a daily driver, with a much better laid out interior. It's easily modified to take up to 37" tires and a lift, and setup with most of what people want in an off-roader. It already has more aftermarket support than a Silverado does in off-road toys. It has it's issues of course, most owners will never notice due to pure nostalgia. The interior feels cheap and plastic, even compared to a JL and that's saying something. It was never going to get a V8, even the F150 raptor doesn't have one yet, and if it did, 99.9% of the guys screaming for a V8 wouldn't pay the $100k price tag for one with it. No different than the guys screaming how bad they want a supercharged AT4, most of them will get really quiet when it comes with a $85k price tag. Same as the guys that can't wait for a Raptor R, until they see the $100+k price tag. I wasn't comparing the silverado to the bronco, simply that the car market is nuts right now and unpredictable at best. We've seen dealers tacking on $10k market adjustments to AT4's, refusing discount pricing, tacking on things to make up the rebate, etc.. So if the ZR2 and AT4-x are much more limited in production than TB/AT4's and as such much more in demand. Those same dealers will happily add on big market adjustments to them as well, meaning MSRP doesn't matter because dealers will charge over it. I'd imagine much like Ford even if you order a GM you are not guaranteed pricing, and GM will simply cop out and say pricing is between the dealer and customer. If you want to know just how far off the pace GM is and where their priorities really lie......Ford brought back an iconic vehicle in the old Bronco name and gave us this, seen all over Moab and other off road spots carrying on the off-road heritage. Meanwhile GM had the Blazer another iconic full size off road vehicle, these days selling for almost as much as the old bronco's, and even the S10 version that was known for punching above its weight class, ZR2 versions, full aluminum skid plate options, with it's nearly indestructible 4.3L....and how did they honor those Blazers of old..... with something that even insults even base model S10 Blazer owners. As a previous owner of a 76' Blazer, and 98' ZR2 blazer, I think I threw up in my mouth a little when I first saw it.

I think Aaaaaaaayush was referring to pins available other than dealer, like a napa part number or McMasterCarr. Not that he wasn't agreeing with Mr. newdude. Which, by the way, it's nice he is on our team.

Traded 2018 LT Silverado 2 weeks ago for 2021 trailboss custom without AFM! oh what a glorious day!!!!! Fuel mileage is worse, compared to the 18 best I could figure, it is about 1 1/5 miles to the gallon But who freaking cares it’s a V8 24/7! Plus this truck just looks and feels better than the 2018!

Very cool feature on some 2021’s... NO auto stop/start! And $50 off the MSRP too! Sorry guys, had to rub it in a bit! I suffered it on my F150 that I just traded towards a new Explorer for the wife (long story... but she got what she wanted and I did too... a new AT4 6.2L). I installed one of the Eliminators the first week of ownership on the F150!

This is great news! These will probably be the last all (8) all the time firing V-8's we get in a half ton stock from the factory. I wonder if the exhaust flaps will get deleted also? Aftermarket exhaust systems will sound great on these engines!

We all know the buttons behind the left hand side of the steering wheel scroll through the presets. What I didn’t realize was that when you hold them down, it acts as a “seek” feature and goes to the next station in numerical order, instead of your next preset! Mind blown. My 16 probably did it too, just never tried it, and the manual doesn’t even advertise it. Only took 4 years to find out.

Discovered this today.... if you press on the skinny pedal on the right, you can find Ford F-150's in the rear view mirror... They just appear there... its like magic!

I found out this weekend that while using Android Auto (maybe CarPlay as well) if you rotate the right radio knob it will zoom the map in and out.

I like the warning screen that comes up reminding me not get distracted and I need to clear it, while driving.....

In case you were wondering... Two bottles of wine fit in the door compartment perfectly!

Another interesting thing that I have not seen mentioned- 4WD trucks no longer have a neutral button for the transfer case (at least not the trucks I've seen). This is the procedure: From 2WD, push the 2 high button 5 times in 10 seconds. Trans must be in neutral and the brake pedal must be pressed or the parking brake on.

So, my alpine unit doesn't use the factory usb ports, and I am not happy with the half amp output they have. So I've upgraded the ports to 2 2.4amp ports and a quickcharge 3.0 port. Now I can charge from these usb ports like they were actually meant to be used. They are not functional as data ports. Only charge ports. Also I know, its really dusty.

My transmission in my 2015 Silverado will not engage in first gear or reverse until it reaches about 1200 RPMs once as it has come up to operating temperature what do you think that issue could be? I’ve had the transmission rebuilt and it has had fluid change multiple times. Thanks in advance
