What trim level is your sierra? Isn't 2500 laramie is mid to upper level trim?

Are you talking about the vehicle(s) in your signature or are you talking about the a T1? If a T1, is it the pre or post refresh?

2024 - 2025 6.6 gas uses a 10L1000 'allison' (10 speed). As noted, prior to 2024 the 6.6 gas used the 6L90 6.6 gas vs diesel use a different rpo codes, presumably because of different tcm module to suit the different power curve of 6.6 gas vs 6.6 diesel, and the different diff ratio used for the gas and diesel. 6.6 gas used 3.73's with the 10L1000 6.6 diesel uses 3.42's with the 10L1000

The sensor was correct! 4mm is 4 / 25.4 = 0.157 " (0.157" is about 5/32") They definitely should be replaced The question is why did they wear out so fast.

Description suggests that no fob signal is being recieved. Dealer can test the module that receives the signal from the fob. In the mean time..... There is a key in the fob that will unlock the door. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe the keyless has been disabled (but since it won't start this likely isn't the issue) If so, they can be re-enabled ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There is a spot to put the fob so the vehicle can be started even if the fob has a dead battery. Uses a different way of getting a signal from the fob, so it might make it so you don't need to use the phone app to start the truck. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, I was referring to 'cold starts' in cold ambient temps Don't if it was sunny conditions when the issue occurs, but the sun sensor on the dash sometimes interferes with it in unexpected ways perhaps the cel will lead to diagnosis of whatever the issue is that is making it perform incorrectly

Did you try the parts and accessories pages at the Gm/GMC website?

It's doing that because it programmed to not blow really cold air onto (especially) the windshield. It is reducing the air volume so the air moving will be at a higher temp. As the coolant warms and the heater is able to warm more air passing thru it the amount of air moved will increase - but still be limited to the volume of air it can warm. It/when desired, the 'Max Defrost' button is supposed to override the other settings

Try pushing the onstar button when it's doing it and see if they can catch the code.

PDF is easier to navigate than a paper copy. Both the 'essentials' guide and the full manual are available as free pdf download from either division website. Your decision. I find the pdf much easier to hunt thru than a paper copy. Eg When index lists a page number -- clicking on the number jumps you to that page. When a description in on section says to refer to another section -- clicking on that will ump you to the other location.

Go to gmc or chev website and download the full pdf of the owners manual. There is also an 'essentials' version (that some received with the truck) but it is a shortened version. Might as well get the warranty manual too

Snowbrush / ice scraper gets regular use here, before almost every drive in winter. If snow is falling / blowing hard enough, sometimes it is necessary to stop during a trip. I make a habit of cleaning out the slush/snow in that area when the vehicles get parked -- cuz it's easier than chipping out the frozen material the next trip. It's not just the pickup that has this issue.

I found the same thing with the T1 tow mirrors. Had been running and happy with GM with tow mirrors for about 20 years, but they were one reason I got rid of a tow mirror equipped '21) I think you've been mislead about the differential(s). In case anyone is reading and considering current 1500/2500/3500 GM has expanded use of the G80 over the years. Currently, all 1500's and 2500's come with (or have available) the G80 auto-locking differential except for the AT4X or ZR2 which get standard driver selectable G94 e-locker. On 1500 (AT4X and ZR2) there is also a front e-locker -- G95 On 1500 WT and Custom (chev) and Pro (sierra) the G80 is optional (but is available, and sometimes required) On 1500 and 2500 e-locker is not available on other trims. E-locker is not available on any 3500, which does not have the AT4X or ZR2 trims. All 3500's have the G80 auto-locker

The following low battery charge conditions may be present when the ambient air temperature is below 40° F/4° C for an extended period of time: Dead battery/required jump start Slow crank Battery low state of charge and, if equipped, Auto Stop/Start inoperative Instrument cluster backlighting turning on intermittently while the vehicle should be asleep Keyless or passive entry/start inoperative These conditions are not easily duplicated in the service bay or in temperatures above 40° F/4° C. These conditions may be due to a low battery state of charge that is being caused by one or more modules waking up the Low Speed GM LAN Bus. When the ambient air temperature is below 40° F/4° C, the Seat Memory Control Module (SMCM) could inadvertently wake up the Low Speed GM LAN Bus. All SMCM’s on a vehicle, including the Driver K40 (Fig. 9), Passenger K40P, Left Rear K40LR and/or Right Rear K40RR module, may apply. Fig. 9 Begin diagnosis by asking the customer or inspecting the vehicle for any aftermarket equipment. If no aftermarket equipment is installed, try to duplicate the conditions by leaving the vehicle outside overnight in temperatures below 40 F/4 C. Follow the Battery Electrical Drain/Parasitic Load Test procedure in the appropriate Service Information. If an excessive battery draw is duplicated, as part of the Circuit/System Testing procedure, remove the fuse(s) that powers the SMCM. The SMCM may be powered by more than one fuse. Wait several minutes to see if the vehicle will return to an acceptable battery draw level. If so, replace the appropriate SMCM. If the battery draw does not return to an acceptable level with the SMCM fuse(s) removed, then continue with the diagnostic procedures in the Service Information.

They may have given you the sensor for the refresh trucks. Sensors (oem) in a set of rims I had for winter wheels on my '21, would not work on the '23 -- so new sensors installed. I realize this doesn't mean the new sensors won't work with the pre-refresh trucks -- but since what is installed isn't working that might be the issued. Had it done at my GM dealer. They have aftermarket 'will work with many vehicles' sensors they like to use. We checked and found out the GM ones for the refresh truck were cheaper than the aftermarket that they had. Yes, the parts person I was working with was surprised too.

I think you misread what I posted. Shut it off. Get out. Lock the door. Use the remote to re-start.

If I'm wanting it to idle while I'm not in it, I'm usually in a place that I don't feel it is necessary to lock it. However, I sometimes shut it off, get out, lock the door and then use the fob for a 'remote start'.
