  1. I have a bed cover on my truck and new tires completely solved my vibration. Food for thought.
  2. Mine had a tire road force over 40 and was replaced. My error was I only asked the dealer to check the rear tires and not the front as well at that time BC the vib was obviously in the rear. I almost had no vibes at all but after my first service, there's a vib again in the rear after the tire rotation. I have the LS2 20'S. I took it to the dealer and they went for a ride w me yesterday and now have an appt for a new tire again.
  3. I went to my dealer and tested 4 new trucks and every one of them whines the same... As far as vibration, I think GM has more than 1 issue causing so many complaints. Tires, driveshafts, axles... A new tire for me completely fixed my vibration for now..
  4. I noticed mine moving slightly
  5. Under light acceleration, the truck will remain in V4 mode and almost feel like its bogging. Mine does it as well and i just push the gas a little more and you can watch it go into V8 and feel it light up right away. Just put a little lead in your foot lol.
  6. I just saw Fords recall as well.. Every manufacturer has their own set of problems. My lights get foggy as well, but not enough for the condensation to pool and usually dries right up. Ill wait to see if the "newer" trucks have this problem, or wait to see if a member gets theirs fixed and see if it comes back. Mine only fog up occasionally though. When its warm out and raining nothing, but when its cooler after a front and raining, only in the high beam section of my truck get a little. It don't really bother me at this point but its not rainy season yet.
  7. Im glad that GM's taking care of you as they should.
  8. I don't have a problem with the frame, but the rear axle has light surface rust on the shock mounts and diff cover. I live in S Fla. And haven't seen salt
  9. ^^Great to hear its getting better
  10. Yea we understand you have a problem, which is why you're venting here... It sucks but the only person who can help you here is GM at this point. Obviously your dealer can't figure it out so its time to take it somewhere else. I feel for you because I had a vibration too. Mine was a bad tire BC at first the vibration was in the wheel, and then I rotated the tires and problem followed the tires. I just took it in my own hands (not saying you do) to figure out what the problem was so I wouldn't have to deal with the dealer "troubleshooting" it. I told my dealer that it was the tires and they road forced 2 rears and one was more than twice the limit out of balance. Spending 45 k on my truck to feel like I was driving down a dirt road on the highway I was ticked too.
  11. Relax dude. My truck had a terrible vibration too and instead of going to the dealer demanding a fix, I told them what I had calmly and they believed me. Left the truck for the day and they replaced the back left tire and the vibration is completely gone. Mine was between 72-80 mph winds onlh with driveline speed. Take it to a different Chevy dealer IMO. Fighting with a dealers service team only makes them want to help you less...
  12. Sorry to hear... hope u don't take up the @$$ too bad on the trade in...
  13. Mine was built in June as well and I had the vibration. I have the 20 in polished wheels and gy ls2 rubbers. Dealer road forced them and one came back at 41 something when 18 is the limit? Idk what that means but I'm happy now. New tire now and NO vibration all the way to 85 MPH. I didn't go faster BC it was only there between 72-80 mph.
  14. Here she is after the grille, bed cover, and avs shades. She loves to pull the bass boat back and forth to lake Okeechobee!
  15. My wife's new Impala! I drive it more than my new Silverado.
  16. Its a T-rex billet insert. A lot of different online places sell them. I got mine on Carid.com and its the polished billet. Paid like $184
  17. Topic is sliding back fast.. How many people found out what was causing the vibes... Curious if any? A friend has a new GMC and the dealer is giving him the run around. We had the tires checked as well and they were normal
  18. Did it a few days ago, but I put in an aftermarket billet grille, bed cover , and avs shades for the windows.
  19. Here's mine after I got done fishin last Sunday!
  20. The difference is, I'm enjoying my 50k truck and you're not...
  21. $60 to me is worth not dealing with the dealer...
  22. My vibration is 95% gone now after taking it to Goodyear direct! I have 20s with the ls2 rubbers. They road forced the tires and its like a new truck. Its def worth going and paying the $60. I had 2 tires off and the third WAY off from the factory.
  23. I originally thought it was a bad torque converter/front main on the tranny bearing or something. That's what my father said too... YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Lol
  24. Exactly the same as mine. I even went to the dealer and started 2 new trucks and they were the same as mine. Ticking and s completely normal to DI engines. I would like to see though if someone figures out the whine though.
  25. My Goodyear dealer didn't charge me anything at all. But, I don't know if yours will do the same. A typical mount and balance is around $40 and for that price I would rather have the piece of mind knowing the tires are force balanced and nothing wrong with the tires. This gives you ammo when you go back to the dealer if the problem persists. If this doesn't solve it I will go to the drive line place locally and pay to have the driveshaft checked. I would rather pay up front and not have a to deal with the dealer and have my truck molested be 13 different people, and just the headache associated with the dealer playing stupid. Just tell the Goodyear dealer that Chevy can't look at it for a few days and you just want to make sure they're "safe" I agree that customers shouldn't have to do this on a brand new truck but we've ready bought them and I would rather fix it myself and enjoy my new truck.
