  1. It looks like you have your high beams on from the picture.
  2. Tundra rides way better than the K2 Silverados. Hopefully the T1 generation rides better with the new suspension setup.
  3. My 2014 did this during the brief period I owned it. I believe it’s the fuel sloshing around in the tank. It’s like Chevy didn’t put the correct baffles in the tank if you ask me. Next time you have a full tank of fuel, see if it does it. I noticed it was at its worst from 1/2 tank to 1/4 tank.
  4. I traded in my problem child, junk 2014 Silverado 2.5 years ago for a new 2016 Tundra. Tundra has 30k miles on it now and has been flawless. No trips to the dealer, trans shifts beautifully, 5.7 is a beast. I agree, they are behind the curve on looks, but I’ll take that any day over sitting in the Chevy service dept again, and again, and again.
  5. Try switching fuels from whatever your running currently. If it’s e10, then run ethanol free for a few tanks and vise-versa. It also may be the station you are getting your fuel from...try a different station for a while.
  6. Have you checked the battery cables themselves? Some were known to have bad terminations, as in the cable terminal wasn’t installed correctly or was pinching down on the cable insulation instead of the actual copper wire. Other well known issue is the distribution block for the positive. Do a search on here, lots of people with very similar issues had their problems resolved by replacing these.
  7. I was in the same boat you are in now. I had a 2014 LTZ that was in the shop constantly. I traded it in 2 years ago for a brand new 2016 Tundra. The Tundra now has 26k miles on it and has been trouble free, never been in for warranty work, just oil changes. The transmission shifts fantastic, the 5.7L is superb, and best of all, I don’t spend time at the dealer switching out the truck for loaner cars. I wish the best for you.
  8. Others in this forum have had similar issues. Seems like the most common cures are either, new battery, positive or negative battery cables terminations are improperly crimped causing high resistance at times in those cables, or a new engine bay fuse block. My money is on the cables. Good luck.
  9. That would not stop the driveshaft from spinning as the driveshaft is solidly attached to the rear axle, so when the wheels spin, the driveshaft does as well.
  10. I saw a 2014+ with the reverse lights on driving down the interstate the other day.
  11. I had the whine under acceleration. Was something in the transfer case. Dealer replaced the transfer case and noise went away.
  12. Well said.
  13. If you go back and read the 600+ pages, you'll find other people have done the same thing you have done but it didn't have an effect on the vibes.
  14. Did you remove the brake calipers before you listened to how the wheels spin? Without doing so, your sort of wasting your time. Your brake pad may drag at a certain point on the disc causing some degree of noise.
  15. If the problem was transmissions, I have to believe that GM would gladly put a new transmission in to make these headaches go away. I've read most of these posts and I believe it boils down to the design of the frame. I wouldn't be surprised to see a "newly redesigned" frame in the very near future.
  16. +1...dropped mine off 9 months ago, only have had routine oil changes done since. If only I could find a Delorean to go back in time to before I bought that POS.
  17. The 14s & 15s had issues with torque converters doing exactly what your describing. I thought I read they came out with a redesigned torque converter to fix the issue. Sad to hear the 16s have it too.
  18. No doubt, that looks terrible.
  19. It's just amazing to continue to see all the problems that GM cannot seem to get corrected. I was a very long time GM proponent until I bought a 2014 Silverado. I empathize with everyone on here that are fed up with their very expensive pickup.
  20. You'll be happy with the Tundra. I've had my 2016 Tundra for 6 months, no problems and rides down the highway smooth as silk.
  21. If it needs a recharge, something is leaking/wrong. Dont opt for just a recharge if that is offered, you will be back again.
  22. Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 15 min and see if it resets.
  23. If I had to guess, the positive cable from the battery to the distribution block as the cable from the alternator to the battery would not affect how it would start if the battery was not dead. There is a way to test the cable for mV drop but I cannot recall what the threshold limit is...300mV?? Dielectric grease just keeps the battery terminals from corroding.
  24. There have been a few posts on here related to a bad positive battery cable.
  25. Yep. Fluid film and wax frame coating is a no no.
