  1. Factory Ranchos should be outlawed! LOL
  2. So much factors into MPG figures. Slight headwinds can dramatically impact mileage on a truck. Any truck. If your local station has switched to winter blend fuel, that can chop it by a couple miles also. The more ethanol, the more decrease. Try a tank of E85 (if your engine is equipped to handle it) and watch your average dip to 12-14
  3. dphel27, That sound is the Oil Pump. This is a common "normal" sound especially in colder weather on the K2 trucks. At least from the sound of your clip, my '14 Sierra does the same thing and others describe it as normal.
  4. Overall great feedback on the the new trucks. Everyone seems to be liking them more than K2s and GMT900 trucks. Word of mouth is going to be key to sales success it seems. Maybe FORD can be toppled. Fleet owners buck up to GM for 2019 and send the F150 packing!
  5. Hey TX ! Congrats bud! Great looking Silverado. Keep us updated on the lift and wheels when you get around to it.
  6. What do you guys think of the plastic hood release lever? Is it beefy or flimsy when operating?
  7. Doug, Power up/down tailgate is standard on High Country and available on LTZ. Remote-locking and power release tailgate is standard on RST, LT Trail Boss and LTZ, and available on LT. These are not Power Up.
  8. Well around here in the KC area, dealership Sales departments are lacking in the information department. Not just GM, but others as well. I will say Honda and Nissan dealers around here have the most knowledge about their vehicles. Still not perfect, but way better than GM
  9. Although I am not an Apple product user or fan.... I will admit Apple has customer service and sales nailed down with the way they run the istores. Was thoroughly impressed with a recent visit to have my daughter's iPhone repaired. The store was fast, efficient and most important.... Knowledgeable! Car dealers should take note, especially the Sales departments. Bottom line is that Sales jobs seem to be higher in turnover rate, especially referencing car dealers. With this, it is hard for a Salesman to know a vehicle inside and out and many models at that.
  10. I have never encountered 1 dealer in my life where they knew more about the vehicle I wanted to purchase than me. Funny how they argue with you or come from left field on a vehicle's inner workings Par for the course Doug! Glad you were able to verify their incompetence.
  11. Ron, 42-44 is way up there. I suggest going down to about 35-37. Great looking Silverado!
  12. The problem is with the mounting hook brackets where the seat post hangs on them. Something about a bushing that wears out or falls off and clanks around when hitting a bump. Only seems to happen when the seat is down and not raised.
  13. Probably the same back seat design as the K2s which Rattle also. There are a few threads on this issue.
  14. Clamp it open and save the cash. Sounds better clamped open. A little droning here and there but not real noticeable.
  15. The Shark Fins are now being painted, apparently...…
  16. T1 is GM's designated platform name for the 2019 Silverado and Sierra trucks. Hence K2 platform for our current/outgoing Silverado and Sierra trucks.
  17. Many new T1's are being pulled to inspect windshield and paint issues. Several left the factory before problems were found.
  18. Every time I am flashed in my Sierra, I hit them back with my High Beams. I have also had people in front of me pull over and let me pass or I see them reach up and push their dimming lever on the rear view mirror
  19. Door stampings are not the same. GMC has a raised back to front "sweep" transition Chevy has a raised front fender to door sweep/transition in the opposite direction as the GMC.
  20. Heating elements are notorious for going out on these. Trust me. It is just a poor design, especially in conjunction with the cooling feature.
  21. To Further Distinguish the Two Brands......
  22. Mine have been replaced (heating elements) in both seat bottom and lumber, passenger & driver side twice under warranty. I have heard and read of some that have had luck with dealer replacing entire seat with seat assemblies from '16 and up trucks. The '14 and '15 sierra/Silverado heated seats simply do not work long and fail continuously. Seats that are heat only with no cooling feature seem to hold up longer. Just the Nature of the beast. Trade it in if you want your heated seats to last
  23. Be patient. Plenty of lifts will be available after SEMA wraps up. Rough country has already advertised a 6" lift for the T1 Great looking AT4 Jason! The 18" wheels with Duratrac tires definitely looks better than the 20" aluminum option.
