  1. 41,088 as of this morning. Hasn't skipped a beat.
  2. I was under the impression most of the failures were occurring on the 6.2s, particularly 2020 and 2021 models. I've got 40,000 on my DFM 5.3 without any hiccups. I also change my oil every 5k and am warrantied up for the long haul.
  3. Mega Dittos. Rest easy, El Rushbo.
  4. Been looking at AT4 BabyMaxes for a few months now. Honestly, I should have pulled the trigger when the employee pricing was going on, but I couldn't find a truck that ticked every box (Premium Pkg, Tech Pkg, Sunroof, 20" wheels and either Cayenne or Dark Sky paint). I'm also slightly hesitant to give up my '19, which has, so far, been absolutely perfect.
  5. The Explorer is junk. The F-Series is one of the few Fords I'd own. I've had two F-150s in the past, didn't have any major problems with either of them. Then again, I've never had any major problems with any of my GMs either, aside from Chevy Shake on my 2014.
  6. GM recommends you change the oil at least once a year, regardless of mileage. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to change it if you like keeping your warranty intact. 7. The employee pricing last month was about as good of a deal as I've seen in almost a year. Now it's back down to $7500 off sticker being a "good deal".
  8. No more 6.2s and Duramaxes. https://www.wsj.com/articles/gm-sets-2035-target-to-phase-out-gas-and-diesel-powered-vehicles-globally-11611850343
  9. One thing to keep in mind - if your lease is through GM Financial, you can't transfer out of state. You live in SC, anyone who wants to assume your lease would also have to live in SC.
  10. I would say so. I didn't look at what version I was on beforehand, but I bought the truck brand new in April 2019 and haven't ever been prompted to update before.
  11. I also have a 2019 (1/19 built SLT Sierra) and got the update about a week ago. I initially ignored it, then didn't drive the truck for a few days, but I let it update when I was inside the grocery store on Saturday. I haven't noticed any differences.
  12. 2016 as well. Last time Silverado + Sierra outsold the F-Series was 2015.
  13. GoodCarBadCar has Silverado @ #2 with 593,057 and Ram third with 563,676.
  14. GM has really improved their inventory search function on their respective brand websites in the last few years. I remember it being pretty crappy back when I was shopping for my 2016, but now they are the best place to go if you're looking to sort trucks based on specific options.
  15. I had a Ford Taurus back in college. It was a constant PITA. I can't really say it was unreliable though. It never left me stranded anywhere. Definitely the most problematic vehicle though. Something was always broken, making noise, etc. Come to think of it, I've never owned a truly unreliable vehicle. Guess I've been lucky.
  16. Just an FYI, the 2020+ HDs have an Allison-branded 10-speed transmission. The trans is built by GM and Allison licenses their name, unlike the old 5&6-speed Allison 1000 series trans in the 2001-2019 trucks that was actually built by Allison.
  17. Lucky, I wish trucks like that would just follow me home. I always have to do a bunch of paperwork and large sums of money leave my bank account every month...
  18. I'm very happy with my truck. The only thing I would really, really like to have is a larger fuel tank. The 32 gallon from the Suburban/Yukon XL would do.
  19. SLT and AT4 Double Cab are also discontinued on the GMC side. This is only on the 1500s. If you want an LTZ or SLT DC you can still get it, just gotta step up to a big boy 2500HD.
  20. If it's a 2020 and the battery has already failed, it should be a warranty item.
  21. I'm really thinking about trading for an AT4 with the 3.0 & 10-speed. GM is finally starting to offer some decent rebates again and trade-in values are still inflated. Just a matter of finding one within a reasonable distance with the options/color I want.
  22. By the placement of the volume knob, I'm guessing we won't have the push button shifter like the SUVs. That's a good thing.
  23. I still love my 2019 Sierra. No real issues to speak of in 24,000 miles. Had the CEL come one once, had something to do with a module not communicating. 30 mins for them to do some software upgrades and I was back in business. My rear slider still hasn't leaked **knocks on wood**. I plan to keep this one for a while.
  24. I have a first aid kit inside one. I think I have a spare hoodie and some gloves in the other. There might be a flashlight in there too. I keep most of my stuff in the cubby under the seats.
