    Seems that dropping the whole package because there is a chance that the rear slider leaks is a bit drastic. Especially with such a useful feature as the slider.

    I'd get it fixed. I would be concerned about other things breaking. Best to get it fixed and everything else checked while it's still under warranty.

    That is one fine truck and a total looker. Are the seats any more comfortable or are they the same as the previous year? Assuming you have tried the previous year's seats.

    Sorry to hear about your pain! I've been wondering whether the refreshed 1500s have more comfortable seats. If they work better for you, it may be a good option to trade your truck in. Does anyone know of the seats were improved with the refresh?

    i suggest you don't wet sand. You'll end up sanding down the surrounding clear coat.

    Thanks much for the info. I have a 02/2021 build 6.2L. I don't know when the engine was assembled. Is there a website that shows the VIN range for coverage?

    It would be more cost effective to trade your truck in for a new truck with BSM. Too many things to add to your truck.

    You must have a lot of enemies to go with your paranoia about someone putting something on your gas tank. Maybe it comes from indiscriminately calling people idiots. For normal people, the chance is far higher that someone will siphon gas out of their gas tank over putting something in it.

    Can't help with experience with the shifter, but I'd go with the console and column shift if possible. Otherwise, the console with electronic shifter.

    I have a '21 6.2L LTZ with DFM and AS/S. I have never put anything other 87 in the gas tank and the DFM and AS/S don't bother me a bit.

    I'm surprised to hear that there are no plugs. Incidentally, what are you using the 12v plug for?

    Not my 2020 5.3 with 16k miles and not my 2021 6.2 with 4,300 miles.

    You must have been looking at 2022 trucks without DFM.

    The squeal isn't normal. Take it in to the dealer. You should have 1 free service with the dealer. Regarding future service: check the maintenance schedule in your owners manual for details about what should be done and when.

    Coolant expands when hot. That may be what is causing the difference in level.

    Sounds like fun. Get a good metal detector and join the hobby, if you haven't already.

    Try this: Press and hold the start/stop button with foot off the brake pedal for 3-5 sec. Dashboard will flash. Then try shifting out of park.

    Your truck should have come with a funnel to be used when filling from a gas can. My 2020 had one but, come to think of it, I don't remember seeing one in my 2021.
