  1. You need to check the fan clutch while hot. You tube has several videos. Basically at idle, take a rolled up newspaper and slowly advance it into the fan. It should resist stopping. I've seen clutches seem to perform correctly until this test
  2. Posts removed, thread re-opened. Everyone should be on their best behavior from here on. Personal comments about other members should be avoided.
  3. Best if you start a new thread for all your cluster talk. Starting to get complaints that you're going off topic and potentially ruining the thread
  4. You didn't read closely then. Everything you asked is answered in those posts. I don't blame you... take the easy way. Be patient, I'm sure you'll get a few responses eventually
  5. Start reading.... The schooling has already been out there https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&as_q=catch+can&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&lr=&cr=&as_qdr=all&as_sitesearch=www.gm-trucks.com&as_occt=any&safe=images&as_filetype=&as_rights=
  6. Listed in your Owners Manual. Need to know what year
  7. So what was your fix? Replace MC or adjust booster travel?
  8. Van on level ground? When oil is fresh, it can be hard to see on the stick. If it requires 6 and you put 6 in, then you should be good to go. The oil should change color a little bit fairly quickly making it easier to see on the stick
  9. I would pay more attention to this suggestion. Of course see what the manufacturer has to say. I've only ever had one booster go bad in all my years and never exhibiting itself in the manner you've described. You bought this truck used? Did the issue present itself in the same time frame that these boosters have failed? I would make sure, if you haven't already, that I was getting the correct part #. IIRC, 3 different part #s for the new body style 2007 and don't forget about the 2007 "classic". As noted on a vacuum booster, engine oil would not be drawn into it, If there is fluid it would be brake fluid. When this appears, does it do it every time your out for a drive? Does it when fluidi is cold or hot?
  10. Maybe the robot streamed too much porn the night before and was a little off.
  11. Only if you're constantly driving like you stole it, which would be the same for non sport mode
  12. ^^^^^^This guy would know for sure.
  13. The original pumps were not holding up, and you did hear about them, but by 2004, 2005 or so, those issues had pretty much gone away. The replacement units were better built. When we had nothing but GMT800s in our fleet, we replaced some pumps, not every one of them failed early though, we put a lot of miles on 'em. Double check all your electrical. Poor connections can cause issues and premature failure. Your system is a fuel return system, make sure it is operating correctly and allowing fuel back to the tank. I will say I'm rockin' an AC Delco that was replaced under warranty. That's been over 100k and 12 years ago
  14. Delphi since you don't want AC Delco anymore. I tend to stay away from Bosch products
  15. Did you check the wiring for shorts?
  16. If you're going that route, you'll need to do it a couple of times at least to make sure you flush the gear oil out, imo

  18. Put 75w-80 in both. Plenty of owners do. Takes about 4-5 qts between the two generally, depending on ring gear size. No additional LSA additive as noted above. Amsoil's site has good reference material for capacities
  19. Did you read completely through the posts and look at all the things mentioned? First thing is to make sure your headlights aren't illuminated during the day
  20. Some aftermarket fan clutches aren't as good as OEM for some vehicles. You could have a tube or several tubes in the radiator that are blocked or partially blocked also. Are all your shrouds still in place? These ensure the air is being pulled through the radiator and just recirculating underhood air. Have you got anything that would block airflow on the front end. Extra light bars, winch, bull bar, brush guards? Mine idles in the heat too and I can't get it to overheat. AC performance doesn't suffer at idle either
  21. This is not an oil change discussion thread. Try to keep on topic. Plenty of these threads out there right now Change the oil on your schedule, not the dealers
  22. The F designates a case lot of the PF63. At least that's they way all our filters we purchase for our trucks. PF48F, PF63F.....that's what is on the case box
