  1. Had one on mine for 1.5 yrs and it works aok now. I did not install it, local Curt/RV dealer did and I had problems after a few months. There is a small magnet in the cover the completes a circuit when cover is closed so you can use the inner gate. It fell out and when the dealer contacted them, they were aware of that occurring and sent him a new one which he installed for $0. Apparently the far east maker did not put any adhesive on some of them? It had a 1 yr warranty when installed by a dealer.
  2. Don't count on them catching up, they don't want to. The goal is to make gas powered trucks/suvs so expensive and hard to get, you will beg them for an electric vehicle. https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/texas-power-grid-under-threat-of-rolling-blackouts
  3. I use the sunroof but never the rear window.
  4. I have several times as I drive on 2-lane roads almost all the time. When it happens its sudden and unexpected. Once I had a vehicle that pulled up to 'T" stop and EB slammed me to almost a dead stop. The car had moved into the intersection but was not a danger of me hitting it but it came into range, I seen the car and bam, the truck went from 55 to dead stop. Also vehicles moving on the shoulder once triggered it.
  5. Fueled up a Murphy (Walmart) $5.40/gal for 91 and with 8 dual pumps, I had to wait my turn. LOL.
  6. Get ready is spot on. My neighbor is a electrical engineer (management) for local utility and we have some of the highest rates in the USA in the sparsely populated part of upper Michigan. He was telling me internal discussion within the power company, which is regulated, are predicting rates will have double if not more within the next year. The price of fuel a big factor right now and the 1/2 of all the power is generated by gas turbines. Just about every time they petition the state of a price increase, the state grants it. Says a local city got some Brandon Grant? to install EV charging stations. He laughs because the liberals praising this think they will be able to charge for free but little do they know, you will need a credit card to access the charging stations. The city will get a profit from them. He's been there about 30 yrs and said, never seen it this bad ever. I am afraid to retire.
  7. From Jobberworld... ExxonMobil Set to Increase Lubricant Prices in July Afton announces additive price increase Chevron Revises Previous Price Increase
  8. I have had the REV accessory cover on since I bought the Denali new. Although I had to go back they next day to make them install it better, there was a 1/8" gap at the top of the t-gate and snow had entered on the drive home some 10 miles. As I told the SM, obviously installed by someone who did not care or know what they was doing. To date very little water leaks in after the SM himself to charge of installing it. All to often dealers delegate this kind of work to to detail shop and all too often some of those guys can't walk and chew gum at the same time. There is no way to make it a perfect water tight seal and anyone expecting that is being unreasonable IMO. It was never designed to be that.
  9. Local county sheriff has 2 Explorer cruisers stuck at the upfitter for 6-months because of parts shortages. The delay is costing them to keep 2 two vehicles (200,000+ miles)on the road these were to replace. Friends wife works at the Furd Dealer. A friend is a LTL contract hauler, he told me his diesel fuel is costing him over a $1,000 more a month. Does not know how long he can stay in business. He has 2 Sprinter Diesel 2500 vans.
  10. Brandon says we are in a period of transition away from fossil fuels. They don't want the price of gasoline to come down, it goes against their master plan.
  11. Engine Oil Additives are Big Business. Their claims are very enticing. Even when Oil Additives are proven time and time again to be worthless, people still want to believe that there is Magic Additive. The only ones benefiting from them are the ones selling them.
  12. Its covered by warranty for 1 yr. Could be just a loose plug?
  13. In reality, no set date ONLY estimates.
  14. My guess is the truck does not handle well with sport mode and those aggressive off-road tires.
  15. I am looking at a window sticker of an inbound (in transit) Denali Ultimate with a sticker price of $86,245. I called on this truck last Friday, when I found it, and was told its SOLD. 16. I might as well chime in. I have a 2021 Sierra Denali 1500 with Onyx black and its w/o a doubt non-metallic. If it was metallic, it would say it was metallic in the paint name. Ebony Twilight Metallic is another black color that was offered in 2021.
  17. Local dealer had a 1/2 doz of them, all were white and identical. They were parked in the rear lot and had dealer signs in WS, LEASE. I have since seen a few around with a construction company name on them.
  18. Definitely, the trailer tires are junk as most are on cheap trailers. Neighbor said same thing about cheap trailer he got at Tractor Supply, shakes his truck when he hauls the lawn tractor around.
  19. The horn honks when you do that, leave vehicle with fob and motor running, at least mine does. If you have the fob and the motor is running and you walk away, no one can move the vehicle, its disabled w/o the fob in the vehicle. NEVER leave fob in the vehicle, always on your person. Note-If you don't close the door completely, horn will not honk. If left running, it will turn off by itself after a period time (15-20 min?).
  20. In both the USA and Mexico. 1st digit of VIN = 1 USA Made; 1st digit of VIN = 3 Mexico RAM is also built in Mexico.

  22. Its just another run of the mill oil, one out of many and they all claim to be better than the rest.
  23. Some were built without AFM/DFM active because of the chip shortage. The have all the internal engine parts but lack the proper ECU and associated hardware/saftware to make it work. IF it were even possible, the cost would never = the money saved in fuel. While GM touts the fuel saving it really matters more to their CAFE numbers. Most motorist don't realize any gain because it all depends on how the owner drives.
