Seat Covers, Chome Trim, Best Tuner, Best Cost Wise Bed Cover

I have the sle1 black interior and everything sticks to the seats, any one running seat covers? the factory ones will probably fit the best, no one really sits in the back so im not too worried about the back. One day katskinz covers would be an option but i would need heaters seeing im in canada and i cant spend that kind of cash.

Any one know if the chrome stripping thats on the side stripping on the denali and slt modles can be purchased and stuck on the sle side stripping on my sle1?

Also, ive heard the diablo tuner is the best one for the gm trucks, i read up on it and i think the off the line hesitation is called torque management? Anyone run this and know if i should turn the torque management back on if im in auto 4x4? just so its a little easier on it

I see that the gm soft bed cover is under $500 us, is there anything out there better? or cheaper? i would like it to not cover the box rails too.

Thanks, i tried searching but it was giving me and error but if anyone had pics of their seat covers and bed covers it would be appriciated

I don't know about seat covers, but I am interested aswell as I have the lint magnet seats also.

But for tonneau covers I just installed an Extang Tri-fecta folding soft cover, the fit was great, installation was a breeze (seriously took like 10 mins), and my local parts guy got it for about 450$ Canadian, so it wasn't too pricey. Also it comes with a 10 yr warranty on the material, and lifetime frame warranty. I live in Ontario, so it will be exposed to all sorts of weather and he guarantees it.

I chose that cover because I wanted to be able to 'lock' stuff in the box. With a locking tailgate you can't open/retract the tonneau cover without dropping the tailgate. Plus there was no snaps or velcro to worry about.

Many of the Access, TruXedo, Extang, GM OEM, etc...soft covers have been pictured and reviewed on this site and you will find pro's and cons with just about everyone.

Best of luck in your search!

The Diablo does not have TCM support yet, from what they are saying it should be close. The tuner lets you do a lot engine side and removes the engine side TM. You are still going to be a bit slow off the line since it’s the nannies that cause it. Get the tuner if YOU want to be able to make adjustments to settings on your engine, read error codes, clear codes, and adjust for tire size, that sort of thing. If you want the most out of your truck give Black Bear look. I went with the handheld tuner as I was more about being able to make adjustments my self and wasn't ready for a full tune yet.

They have been "close" to having TM control since 2007.

If absolutely want a handheld, then Diablo is the only way to go. If you want the most out of your truck then click on Daddy's link above or check into Wheatley.

I will put a vote in for Black Bear. It was the best money I have ever spent on a truck for performance.

I too have to put my vote in for Blackbear. I had thought about a handheld some time ago and was going to go with Diablo but then I read about how pissed off their customers were because Diablo sold them handhelds and had been promising TCM support for a lot time. I wouldn't buy until they fixed their problem. Then I heard about Blackbear and I was sold.

What's this about not being ready for a full tune. Everyone is ready for a full tune.

If you want to save money on seat covers, get the tsb on ebony seats and your dealership should change them for free. I just had my seats completley re-upholstered by my dealership on GM's dime a couple weeks ago. My '08 accumlated so much lint it was ridiculous.

ok i read up on the website, now who went with a data logged tune and who went with a traditional tune?

it says they remove 75%-80% torque management, so the diablo doesn't remove it at all?

has anyone seen coverking seat covers? they are model specific and the neoprene looks like its wrinkle free, but they are as much as factory ones

i dont quite understand " get the tsb on ebony seats" What did they re-upholster your seat with?

Black Bear is a company run by a guy named Justin who tunes your computers. For warranty work you can buy another set of computers and Jutin will tune those for you and keep your stockers on the shelf. If you want to find out about his tuning options http://www.blackbearperformance.com

There's a tsb on '07s and '08s for "over accumulation of lint" something to that affect. My local dealership found it on the computer, he had never heard of it before I told him. Took about a month to get the "improved seats" and changed them in my truck. It's essentially identical to the old seats but GM apparently improved them...so far so good. A lot better than the original ones in my truck.

That sure is an odd TSB...

I don't think my 2009 has the "improved" fabric, because they're not too friendly with my white and silver Maine Coon cat... On the plus side, there can't possibly be any cat hair left on my clothes after sitting in the truck...

No, the Diablo does NOT remove all of it. It removes virtually all of the engine side TM, but trannie support is still "coming soon".

Ojne nice thing about the Diablo is that you can take tunes that have been created and sent to you, upload them to the tool, then download them to your truck. Also, when you go in for service, you can easily revert back to your stock set-up.

According to those "in the know" at DS, the DS will NOT leave an electronic footprint in your car. It is always advisable to revert back to stock when going in for service (for somewhat obvious reasons).

I have a custom tune pushed by my predator.

ALl comments regarding Blackbear have been EXTREMELY positive. It all comes down to what you want. Make your choice, get out your lead sneakers and have some fun.... :flag:
