Tuning My Gmc Sierra 5.3l V8

hello guys ,,,

 

i have an 2007 GMC sierra witha a long tube dynatech with with a borla cut back and K&N Filter and HP Tuned.

 

i want somthing in my engine like cams, head , manifold intake , pistons rods , some of my friends told me to convert ur engine to an Ls1 5.7L with some good cams and head what do u think .

 

what does it requires ? parts in details please coz am so bad in these stuff

Do not bore the engine, just lengthen the stroke if you have the money. You will gain torque, and it will not increase emissions. That is what I have found out through reading or add a Magna charger, depends on your wallet. :rollin:

am thinking of modifiying my engine long time ago but dont know wat to do !! i want somthing in the engine like cams , head , block , pistons , rods , lifters these kind of stuff , like a semi stroker would let my engine jump off to 430+ RWHP and anyone who know please let me know each part in details please =D and thanx

Block should be fine, heads may be too.

If I were you, I would try to locate a 6.0 or 6.2 to start with. They both have the same heads (2007+ engines) and are some of the best flowing heads GM has ever released.

 

In pure stock form, both of these engines are capable of 400+ hp with just a tune. Do a search on this forum, a few months ago a cam was posted that added almost 60 hp to the 6.2.
