Which Would You Choose?

So I am looking into to getting a truck after selling my 04 tahoe. I have found two trucks, both look good and have maintenance records. One is an 04 Silverado w/87k on it, loaded minus leather (a plus for me). Looks awesome but front bumper looks a bit tweaked and I'm not sure if something was done cause it has a different grille.

Second is an 04 Sierra SLT w/ Quadrasteer. Nearly same price as silverado but has 102k miles. I like the idea of quadrasteer but the mileage difference and complexity of quadrasteer scares me.

Which Would y'all pick? Any info is greatly appreciated.

If it were me I would stay clear of the Quadrasteer for the reason on maintance cost if something were to go wrong on it down the road, labor, part cost and if you can get parts as it gets older.

I would go for the Sierra. Quadrasteer trucks are pretty rare especially in my area and the one that you are looking at looks loaded.

Quadsteer. I know several people with them and love them. Not lift friendly though if your looking to do offroading at all, I'd go for the other then. I guess it depends how how you drive it...

Yeah, the quadrasteer was a pretty neat truck. They are rare. Every body is always calling the G80 locker a limited slip, you could get the quadrasteer with a G86 limited slip, a real one.

It's gonna be tough, both look so nice and that steering would be awesome. But the idea of that QS breaking terrifies me even though I've heard the system was really well designed. I also worry that parts will be very hard to find. I'm still gonna take another look at both, anyone got some info about the tan one? Should i be worried that the grille is different or just thing the PO wanted more chrome? Nothing looked out of the ordinary when I took a look the first time. It's a bit harder to buy these trucks...I'm used to toyotas with a VIN sticker on every body panel so you can easily tell if stuff has been replaced, it's cake.

If you have any questions about Quadrasteer, checking out http://www.denalitrucks.com. There are quite a few people over there who still have the Qsteer trucks. They all seem to love it and I haven't heard of a lot of problems with it (at least from the folks over there).

That Quadrasteer truck sure would make life easier in parking lots! The people I have known that have had them love them. The bodywork on them is a little weird to me but red hides it well.

Id buy the GMC. I love the look of them because of the bedsides and cab lights, plus that one is loaded with the bucket seats and center console like my 05. As for the other id pass it up because of the color alone. I don't know about where you live but theres is alot of that color around here. All I know is either one looks like a great choice, and when I bought my old 05 I had a quadrasteer in mind, but didn't get it and I kinda regretted it.

I'm a GMC guy myself...I'd get the QS truck for sure. There's been very few problems with the steering system according to my mechanic friends. Both tell me they are very reliable. Plus you gotta love steering wheel controls!!
