I have an 04 Z71. I get 15 around town. A tank yields about 300 miles before the idiot light comes on.

Hope that helps...LT

I get 17 mpg and can go almost 500 miles before fill up. ECLB FTW :D It took $70 to fill yesterday with 87 octane.

5.3 with 3.73 gears and Active Fuel Manglement disabled.

99 GMC 2wd 5.3 3.73. 13 city 15 hwy... Idiot light is around 3 gallons left. 26-3=23*15=345ish I have only hit the idiot light about 9 times in 10yrs..... However if you get it out on the highway after filling up it gets about 16-17 if you don't make stops. So 391 might be possible.

Do you have the 34g tank?

Yes.

I guess I should say I get between 16 and 17. I could do better out on the road, but when it takes 450+ miles to drain the tank, I eventually end up doing something that'll kill the overall mileage for the tank. I do believe that 17 is what I'll be seeing most of the time. Still, 16-17 the way I drive is pretty damn good.

I get a minimum of 375miles/600kms before I fill up. I NEVER let the idiot light come on because the fuel pump is in the tank, and the gas keeps the fuel pump cool.

BTW, the 04 is the last year of rear disc brakes, and I love them.

My last 4 tanks averaged 21-23 mpg (Canadian gallons). Mostly highway and back roads. 245/75/16 Revos, K&N FIPK, Flowmaster 40 series, Gibson headers, Flex-a-lite fans and Waitforme computer tune for 91/93 octane.
