Hard Shift On The 1-2, Code P1870

after about an hour of driving my work van (4l60e trans) it got the hard 1-2 shift and sometimes when i think im in 2nd coasting i give it a little gas it feels like it revs up just a little bit before "catching" and going.

 

I ordered the sk 4l60e kit to address the worn solenoid in the valve body, ill probably install the entire kit as well.

 

what else should i replace while i have the valve body out? i was thinking the TCC solenoid and Pressure control switch....

 

what do you guys think?

... your plan sounds reasonable.... but, if you already have 120,000 to 140,000 miles on this 4L60E and you know its been worked pretty hard as a work truck, then you need to consider that the entire transmission just may be wearing out.... and it may be telling you that it is time for a complete trans and torque converter rebuild...

 

.. if you are handy, then try these fixes yourself for a short term solution ..... but accept the fact that you may be needing a complete rebuild sometime soon.
