Well Crap -- Black 6" Oval Assist Steps No Longer Available For E

Well, shit. I start working on my list for Santa, and I'll be damned if GM didn't remove the BLACK 6" ovals for the extended cab. (chopped off Extended Cab from the title) At leat I'm 99% sure they were there just a month ago. That sucks because I was really wanting the black ones.

Now, I need to decide if I want to get the chrome ones, or go non-OEM. Can you please post pics of your GM 6" ovals?

 

Also, does anyone know if GM sells gift certificates for parts & accessories? Maybe I should just ask Santa for a remote start.

Individual dealers may issue gift certs, but I don't know that for sure. Here's a pic of the chrome ovals on my crew cab:

I don't understand why they discontinued them...bastards. That's just like Weber discontinuing the cast iron grate for the 22.5" kettle. Best freakin' grilling accessory ever made.

I believe the part number for the black step bars for extended cab is 19159771, and according to GM Parts Direct are still available. Can anyone confirm?
