Blower Motor Replacement

Hello, I have an 02 tahoe and the blower motor makes a squealing noise at the slower speeds as if the bearing are gone. How involved is replacing the motor? I recently replaced the resistor, so is there much more involved in accessing the motor?

It's really pretty simple. You have located the motor right? It should be a matter of disconnecting the power wire and removing a few screws, pull motor straight out. If your replacement motor doesn't have a new impeller, you'll need to reuse your old one

Well, i haven't located the motor itself, but assume it's in the housing behind the glove box. I just didn't know how involved it was to separate the housing to access the motor

I've had this symptom on my older Chevys. A little spray lube in the motor & all was well for many years.

Not a bad idea, I'll give that a shot first

It's not difficult
