I have a 1995 GMC 1500, recently replaced the intake gaskets, which somehow lead to a coil and distributor cap? Anyways seems to work fine, but when the truck has been driven and is warm it wont whirl over, or is very hard to?

Sounds like your starter. The heat from your exhaust is causing it to overheat and make starting hard. You can buy a heat shield for that...did you remove any shielding lately?

Never removed a shield and it does not look like there is one there, what does it look like?

just metal...like really thin sheet metal attached to the exhaust manifold...and goes down by the starter...if its not there and never was...your starter is probably on its way out.

It happens quite often actually. when the starter gets hot the brushes just wont make contact inside anymore...so it doesn't turn over. There are heat shields sold for the starters...and if your going to get a new one, buy that shield.

Wait just thought of something....there's a thermal link on the passenger side fire wall, did it fall off, and get close to the engine...I think its a red wire...or could be a box with a few wires going into it...its also a very common issue. It may not even have fallen off...it just may be getting weak. Get a haynes manual and try and pinpoint which wire s the thermal link...I am almost sure its a red wire though.
