Interior Dome Light Wire Location.

I would love to have some type of light in the footwell/kickpanel of my truck, along with some on the bottom of the doors so I can see where I am stepping down to at night. I have a '07 NBS Silverado.

Anyone know where I can tap into the already installed OEM dome light wire, where it runs, or what color it might be so the new lights only work when the interior lights come on with an open door and I don't have to install a separate switch? Mine does not have the puddle mirror lights or anything like that on the doors, but thought that maybe the wires were already there that I could tap into it somewhere in the door. Anyone know how I could accomplish this?
