Thinking Of Going Back To Texas

I'm looking for some suggestions on what to see and do in Texas. I've only been there once, and I was in the Dallas/Houston area. I loved the state so much that I'd like to go back again, but there seems to be so many places to see and so many things to do that I'm at a loss for where to start.

 

So I thought that since there are a number of members here from Texas that you guys might be able to help me out.

As much as I love living in the DFW area and like it here. I would have to point you to San Antonio or Galveston for vacationing...

I love the San Antonio area. So much history and the riverwalk is pretty cool.

 

But, it depends on what you like to do and when you are going. DFW offers a lot too. I love this area.

go see the nascar track at FT Worth and see a race. I ve only been there once but liked it.

What's the matter with Lubbock? I always thought the name of the place alone is funny. Kinda makes me curious though.

 

Are there any particular sites anyone would suggest seeing? I know a lot of it might seem mundane to you guys that live there but hey Niagara Falls seems mundane to me as I live next too it almost.

 

I've heard Galveston and San Antonio are quite nice. Is it mainly attractive to most as a vacationing spot because of the weather?
