Escalade Awd To 4wd Conversion?

I was researching the idea of converting a part time 4WD system to a full time 4WD system. But, it turns out the process is not a simple one.

So, now I'm looking to find out if an AWD system, like the one in the Escalate, is easier to convert to a Full Time 4WD system than the first option I mentioned above.

Any input would be appreciated.

On a side note, I was told that the Hummer H2/H3 were built on the Tahoe/Suburban chassis. At first it sounded great since the Hummers have full time 4 wheel drive, but then when I compared the H2/3 and the Tahoe/Suburban, the wheelbase was off by anywhere between 4 - 12 inches depending on the variant. So, putting a Tahoe body on a Hummer chassis seems out of the question.

The bottom line is I'm trying to get a Tahoe (or an escalate chassis and body) to have a full time 4WD system. That's my goal here.

WHY???

Either way....

H2 is built on a 3/4 tonne Tahoe frame.

H3 is built on an envoy/Colorado/canyon frame

A 4wd truck with an auto button will be effectively the same as what your trying to do....but you will have the 4LO button also.
