o.k. so this one has got me stumped!!! i have an 04 sierra w/ about 80,000 miles:truck runs great...except once a week (about ) it stalls on my way into work..aprox. 2-3 miles from house..just dies, no bucking or hesitation, just dies. i restart it and it dies once again. after the second time, and 5 min. it starts up and runs just fine. i thought it might be bad gas so i filled it up with known good gas, still did it about 7 days later. doesnt feel like a misfire because there is no bucking or hesitation...so just to make sure i pulled 2 plugs, one from each side.... they were o.k. , not the best but not to the point of failure.( the only weird thing was that one of the plugs had a red hue to it )...but just to make sure i changed all of them. it stalled on me again a week later. i already went through the engine bay checking for loose or "bad" grounds and found none...so does any one have any ideas...please help.

My '01 would die every month or so. I would go to turn it on... it would crank run for half a second then die. I would have to wait about 20 minutes and it would start up. I never did anything about it until it started to try to die and I hit the gas and it stayed on, if you let off the gas it would die... Took it in and the battery cables were corroded. Popped new ones on and it ran like a champ never another problem.

Dunno if this is what yours is doing but can always give it a look

If you have an AC Delco battery check there first. Mine looked ok but, the Positive terminal was completely corroded. When I went to jump start it the terminal came right off in the clamp I was using. Very Messy!!!!

Let us know what you find!!!
