I would think you could fit that stock? Except they might rub when turning. You might be getting a little wide for a stock rim. They'll wear funny. More backspacing and you should clear them

You would get a lot of rubbing when turning if you do not put a leveling kit on your truck.

Check out my sig I have 305-60-18 with a CCM 2.5 level kit no BL and get very minimal rubbing only when im backing up and turning all the way.

Yeah, I was planning on new wheels - wider with more backspacing.

Someone on here was running 305/65/17's with no problem on a leveled truck. They had to do a slight bit of plastic trimming but that was it. I think the 305's on these new trucks look awesome because of that wide look. I'm debating on whether to put 285's or 305's on my truck

in the summer...

You have to be careful of what "no problem" means. I learned the hard way that "no problem" to some people means that the tires rub once in a while.

IMO, "no problem" means that the tires will not rub AT ALL, not even when turning and hitting a bump. i had to trim A LOT to get my 305/55/20s to fit "no problem" with my mildly offset (+18mm) 9" wide wheels.

Very true Matt very true... In my opinion no problem is some plastic trimming and then they won't rub anymore.... I'm not crazy about trimming metal :)

Neither am I :D

But i was informed that 305/55/20s would fit on 9" wide wheels with +18mm offset with "no problem" with some "minor plastic trimming".... After i already had my wheels/tires and questioned some people on how they hell they fit that setup with a 2.5" leveling kit with "no problem" everyone chimed in with "oh well yea, they rub sometimes, but only at full lock... its not a big deal" :)

Point is, if he's planning on putting 305/65/17s on his truck with aftermarket wheels and a leveling kit, he better be prepared to trim metal in order to fit them with "no problem".

Yall know I want to put a leveling kit and 1.5" body lift, right? I didn't ever think a leveling kit alone would get me 305's in there.

Yeaup... so you'll have 3-3.5 of height. I have 3" body lift and had to trim a lot of metal. To not trim metal i would've needed at least another 1.5" over my 3" body lift.

So, if you don't want to trim any metal... you may want to consider a 3" body lift instead of the 1.5"... or be prepared to deal with some "minor" rubbing when turning.

Granted tires run in different sizes... so if the tires you get run on the small side then you may be OK with some plastic trimming. But if your tires run true to size at all, you'll probably have to trim more than some plastic.

Sorry, im a realist.... :)

Thanks for the info Matt and evryone else . Perhaps I'll stick with leveling and 285/70s.
