Viper Smart Start For Blackberry

DEI announced that the Viper Smart Start system will now be available for use with Blackberry smart phones. The unit has been available for use with the iPhone for several months now. I've personally installed about a half dozen or so. It's a really cool system. For those that already have a Viper remote start or remote start with security You can add the VSM100 Smart Start module for $299.00 which includes the 1st years subscription. The cost is $29.99 a year after the first year. The VSM100 is compatible with the following Viper units.

The Blackberry App will be available on 3/6/2010. The link should be up on Viper's site by then. I also understand it will be available on Blackberry App World.

They work extremely well with the iPhone, I don't suppose it will be any different with a Blackberry. One thing I forgot to mention is your Blackberry will need OS 4.5 or higher to use the app.

When compared to the key fob it's about a half second or less delay.
