All-terrain Package Interior Trim 2500hd

For a while now I had been planning on picking up a 2010 GMC Sierra SLT with the All-Terrain package. Well things have changed and I found out that the wife is pregnant with our first. Unfortunately, this got me thinking about functionality with the new truck. The way i see it with an extended cab and regular bed it really limits on the ability for long trips with a car seat and random stuff in the back. I figured id solve this by getting a crew cab but that means i get an extremely short bed. Well i actually use my bed for hauling around the ATV's, dirt bikes, camping gear plus all the bags and stuff in the cab. To have the best of both worlds I figured I would take a look at a 2500HD Crew Cab Regular bed.

The problem is this. I have been set on that All-Terrain package for a few years now and it breaks my heart to have to give it up. But the kid and family are priority. As i think about it though there were only a few things that really set apart the AT package. One of which is the interior brushed aluminum trim, 18" chrome clad wheels, and shocks. I can be ok without the wheels and the shocks I easily pickup some Bilsteins later on and be fine with that. The interior trim on the other hand...Not so much.

I am not a big fan of the stock wood grain look of the trim. Basically I was curious how much of the 1500 trim or if its possible to get any of those trim peices to fit in a 2500HD Crew Cab. Or possibly what other options are there to get this look.

Thanks

There is no difference in the interior of the 1500 or 2500 trucks. No reason why can't purchase the trim pieces for the all terrian and replace the wood trim.

Exactly right. In fact, there was a guy on here who replaced all the trim pieces in his Sierra Denali, swapping the wood grain for the stainless steel pieces. He's got all the part numbers listed in this thread:

easy fix.

Just remember dont ever let the lil one forget he messed up your truck plans.

My wife got pregnant last Feb and we had to skip our summer vacation to DC so she could save her time to be off with him. He will never forget this

It did help me get a new truck though so its not all that bad.

Definitely get a crewcab!

Thanks, this helps a bunch. What about the grille? Are they the same? I was planning on getting SLT trim. That All-Terrain grille is pretty neat looking though.

The grille is not the same, the 2500HD has a larger grille ( more cooling capacity)

You can however get kits to put chrome on the bars of the 2500HD's grille for a similar effect:
