This is depressing

I'm down to just four days left here at home until I have to go back to school. The actual going to school part is fine, but I just hate living there with a passion. This farmboy didn't transplant into the city very well last year, hope it will change for the better this year. I sure hope I will be able to find a truck before I move in Tuesday, otherwise I'll have to buy a car :(until a K2500 shows up.

For all you other guys getting ready to start another year of school I wish you luck.

i still have to go in and pay for my classes.. since my scholorship didnt transfer any funds over till tomorrow. only 40 dollars of every credit is cover, but better then nothing.

Jpshstr - remember, ITS TEMPORARY!!! The whole reason you are going through it is so you can go back and do yourself and your parents PROUD! The days of staying "down on the farm" and succeeding are, for the most part, over. Education and living in the city are the necessary evils you must endure so you can go back to your roots...putting up with both for a while will help ensure your future prosperity in the increasingly difficult world of farming and agriculture....GOOD LUCK!!!

P.S. Frank did you get you a decal for your new vehicle didnt he? I know you dont have the truck yet but, well, you kinda have to ask early. :wink:

Yeah, like the rest of us enjoyed going from our comfy childhood homes and moving into a dorm room with cinderblock walls and some guy who smelled funny and played his music too loud. I'm depressed that school is starting on Monday, but for a different reason. I'm going to a branch of Kansas State University, that is here in my hometown. I was told my several people that I should go here for my first two years (since they had the mechanical engineering program) and then transfer over to the main campus. This way I could save some money, and make sure it was what I wanted to do. Well after last semester, I found out that some of my tougher classes would not count for the program at the main campus. For example, dynamics here at Salina would not count as the same dynamics class at Manhattan. So here I am, stuck staying at home when I truely want to be going to the main campus and be away from home. But after spending the summer working with a kid who goes to school at the main campus, I just may bite the built at semsters end, have to take some classes over, and go live alittle....
