Wheel Alignment Question

I have a RC Leveling kit that I am going to put on my truck. I want to have an alignment done after I install it but I wont be able to get the alignment done for a day or two after I install the kit. Is it ok to drive the truck for two days with the kit installed or should I wait to install it the night before the appointment for the alignment?

Well, your just installing a spacer so the only thing that will be off is camber, not too big of an issue. Toe is the main thing you have to worry about, but your not changing that. If it was my truck, I would probably install it right before the alignment, but your probably fine driving it.

You'll be fine driving it without aligning.

ehhhh I had a 2" rc leveling kit on my truck back when I first bought it. I put about 4000 miles on truck with rc leveling kit, stock wheels tires, and no alignment. I only started getting faint feathering/cupping of the tires towards the end of it. I knew I was going with bigger wheels tires and a different lift so basically I ran it like so for one winter.

With that said, i would definately get it aligned, but driving it unaligned for a few days or even a few weeks isnt going to be a problem. Good luck

I would not go to long without getting it straight. It will wear your tires and if let go long enough they will be out of balance.

My answer is specific to his question. A day or two.

Gonna need to see some pics. Staying with the same rim/tires you have on it for now?

Toe will be thrown off too. An increase in ride height causes a toe-in condition.

With that said... he'll be fine for a day or two driving around town.

Ill make sure to post up some pics when its all done. For now im going to stay with the stock rim/tires. The tires on it have a lot of meat left, so I cant see buying new ones yet. But when these are done I think I will stay with the same rim and move up to a 285 tire.
