I have a 2009 regular cab short box Silverado. I am looking for a way to store my tow strap, tie downs and hand tools. I want something that is clean or hidden from view.

Are you talking about in the bed or in the cab? :flag:

I will be curious to the answers to for this. I have a RCSB as well and will be buying a tow strap and hooks and want to store them to and my mag lite. I have looked at the toolboxes and mount behind your rear fenderwells in the truck, and then swing out over the tailgate when you need them. I have a tonneau cover on the truck so it would be hidden for me, but they are spendy for how small they are!

Both or either, I am looking for ideas. I have the bed Vortex lined. Right now I have triangled box that sits behind the seat, it sits out past the seat and doesn't look right.

Do you have the Cargo Management system? If so take a look at the small tool boxes for it. The attache and fit below the rail, can be removed to carry around, are keyed to your ignition key so no extra key needed.

I have a small battery box installed under the hood behind the driver headlight, in it I have an air compressor, tire gauge and a plug kit. Helped get those items out of the cab of the truck.

I've been thinking about putting a battery box in the extra battery spot for things that won't be heat affected, although that probably doesn't get much hotter than the cab in the summer here in AZ. Right now I just have a tool bag under the rear seat. Holds bungis, tie downs, receiver, tire gauge. Enough for now but any tools and it's out of room.

Walmart has some nice black tool boxs for storage in the auto section. Plan on getting the bigger one they have, very thick plastic and you can lock it. Also if you have a farm and fleet around too.
