Anyone Get A Efilive Scan Cable Tune? From Blackbear

Here's the deal. I live in Texas and BlackBear is not going to be here until June and in Dallas, thats 5-6 hours away. I was researching and I am seriously interested in get a tune sooner than later. I was looking to get some feedback from members that have gotten a BlackBear tune over the mail, using the EFILive scan cable.

I was also wondering if anyone has experience with a Live Tune vs Scan Cable tune from BlackBear. There are several vendors that Use EFIlive Tune but none in Texas. I am wiery of mailing my info, I want to get the Best Bang for my Buck.

So far, I like what I have read about BlackBear and the feedback from members, but have more questions.

Any Feedback is Greatly appreciated...

I think you have the 6-speed transmission and I don't think they can do a scan tune on those yet, and must be done in person. But don't quote me on that, but i think thats what I have read. Maybe Jenna or someone will comment on this.

I do have a six speed tranny, Good question, I will find out and if it has to be done in person (thats gonna Suc) Cause they won't be around here for a while....

I'm pretty sure the 6 speed has to be a live tune.

You will have to get an in-person tune for the 6 speed. If you wait for the autocal, then you can get the 6 speed tuned not in-person. Plus you can run different tunes and much more.

I hear you, I'm making the 4.5 hr drive one way to Minneapolis for the tune on my 08 SD. Too antsy too wait for the AutoCal thing. Wife gets to go to Mall of America and I get a tune!

I bet I spend less money but get more bang for the buck!

I had my truck tuned in person, not by mail. However, I can guarantee that you have nothing to be weary about when dealing with Black Bear. Justin, Jenna, and Haley are top-notch and trustworthy people. By mail or in-person, you won't be disappointed with the tune or the customer service.

I dont know anything about Nelson Performance, and with all the feed back from everybody I would love for you guys to Tune my truck, Thanks for the info...

Its was worth it for me to wait for the live tune session that happened in Dallas back in Dec of 2008. I made the 3 hour drive from Austin and on the way back, it was a night and day difference.
