Change the color of the LCD display inside the H/U? I'd say not.

you'd have to swap out the backlight and to do that you'd have to mad scientist the deck.. voiding the warranty on it.. an electrician could probably give you a better idea if you wanted to hack into it.. you could maybe put a transparent color overlay over the screen if it bothers you that much.

I have no idea what you are talking about...mine is green but I have a GMT800 series truck...perhaps a pic?

depending on what display you chose you may end up with complex work arounds such as what type of chipset needed to drive the display and so on. Would be cheaper imho to just change out the deck.

My 900 has a green display.

I figured out this morning that on the 2010 that the display can have a black background or a whiteish background depending on whether the display mode is set to Night or Day.

 

Could that be what you are running into?
