Just curious about how much E85 is in relation to regular gas. We can't get E85 where I am. I know that it does lower MPG but I'm wondering if it evens out with price.

I have paid $2.35 the last 8-10 wks. What I like is it has not fluctuated at all during this time.

Reg has been 2.60-2.90 here in Central Indiana

That's not bad. I had heard they were doing that in most states but I wasn't really sure if my information was accurate.

There's only 1 gas-station in Ottawa that sells E85. When I looked into using it a few years back for my '02 YukonXL that could use E85, the price was a lot higher than regular gasoline. I couldn't believe it.

Higher priced, less mpg.

I haven't checked back lately to see if the price is lower now since I now use diesel.

Northwest Indiana

E85 = $2.19

Regular = $2.90

I'm never going back to regular pumped gas. Even though I have been getting 2-3 MPG lower the truck feels like it runs 100 times cleaner.

It feels like e85 adds 15hp to boot. I think around 50-60 cents you break even plus that money might stay and help your own economy.

That's weird because with our 03 Burb that was E85 Compatible we never felt a power boost even though it was 89 octane. As a matter a fact it struggled staying in 4th gear on flat Nebraska highways and interstates. Now when I avoided the E85 and even the E10 that most Nebraska fuels have in them we had all our power back and it could stay in gear.

E85 runs 45 or 50 cents cheaper a gallon here in Upstate NY (Saratoga)- get a little less mileage, but not much- maybe 2-3 mpg less. At the price, and not sending the money to the middle east, I will keep choosing the E85. My oil stays really clean, I have to think that it burns cleaner. Power is good either way, more than enough with the 5.3 engine- $2.45 or $2.49 for E85, $2.90 or $2.98 for regular-

No I suck at life, haha. I was in such a rush to get back to the Region it slipped my mind as of lately. I filled up at Family Express and must say the E85 seems to be of great quality, just put my foot in my mouth from another comment.

I'll be down there next weekend and will surely be filling up at one of the mentioned stations you gave me. Thanks for the info regarding that by the way. :D
