Cooper Zeon Ltz Vs Bfg A/t

I'm trying to decide on which tires to put on my truck. I'm looking to go to a 275/70R18 which seems to be the most common size for a roughly 33" tire. I was wondering how aggressive the Coopers are compared to the BFG, it seems like every shop that carries Cooper have heard of the Zeon LTZ but most have not had one in the shop let alone one in stock for me to look at. I want something that has a nice aggressive look to it while not killing my mileage too much and having a decent tread life. I really like the looks of the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac but I don't think they would be the best for reasonable mileage and decent tread life.

You can't go wrong with either tire. I'm not sure the exact weight of the BFG but I'm willing to bet they are close to the same weight as the Zeon's. I have the Zeon's in 275/55/20 and really, really like them. I love the look of the tread pattern, excellent traction in rain & snow, and quiet for an AT tire. They ride better than the Goodyears I replaced and I think the Zeon's have a sportier look than the BFG's. Overall I would recommend the Zeon's but both are good tires.

I have the 275/60/20 Cooper Zeon LTZs with a RC leveling kit and the tread pattern is awesome. The sidewall is tame which I like as well. It allows for easier cleaning. I'm not sure but I believe the BFGs are considerably more expensive. My set of Coopers' was $708 shipped. I added the road hazard stuff for free replacement during the life of the tires. It was another a $90 but worth it IMO. They are barely louder than the stock tires.

Here in Canada both tires are around the $1200OTD mark, but if I go across the river into MI I can get a set of BFG AT's for $940ishOTD or another $130 with the road hazard stuff. I know I can get a set of Nitton Terra Grappler for about the same price but they look a little tame.Previously I haven't been able to find a place in MI that sold my size in the Zeon's but I talked to one this mourning and I will stopping by there tomorrow to take a look at a set so I will see what their price is.

I went with the Zeons as I have heard so much about them and its all good.I paid $299 a piece CDN. They have a nice aggresive look but still run quiet.I just put them on today and they look awsome in person.I had to order them in as knowone has them up here in canada.I'm glad I went for them as I could have gotten the Cooper discoverer Rt plus for $199 a tire, but they look to much like a hwy tire for me.I say go for the Zeons

I took a look at a set of the Zeons today, I think they were a 275/60R20. They look pretty nice and I got a price of $972 OTD for a set for my truck in the 275/70R18.

RayGMC - where did you get your tires from?

I also run the zeon's currently and have had BFG AT in the past, which were good tires but pretty darn expensive, and also I didn't find them to do terribly well in the wonderful clay and sticky stuff here in VA. Even though that is not at all my total basis for rating a tire, I do occasionally get the bug to go into the woods. But more than anything for me, the zeon's have a great ride on the highway and make almost no noise and have so far at 13K had a great tread life.

When I bought mine from discount I ordered the 275/60/20 originally online and they called me back and said that it was something crazy like a 9 week backorder but they had the 55 series ready to ship and I was not waiting another 9 weeks lol
