First Real Wash Of The Year

finally had a chance to give my truck some attention with a good hand wash today. I need to give it a full detail so badly!!! Cleaned off any risidual winter road grime and gave the wheels a quick polish. Sorry the backgrounds are limited, my appartment complex has a parking lot just big enough for me to park my truck in. I have to drive on the grass to get out. Everyone else drives a compact car, I've got 6 feet on the closest length car, LOL!

I've got Stealth Technologies chrome turn signal bulbs coming. Was supposed to have them last weekend but they're backordered. Called Stylin' and went straight to a manager. he put in one call refunded my shipping cost and had it upgraded to express shipping within 5 minutes. Hopefully have them by next weekend. So I can finally have my "all the way" clear headlights.

Mods for the rest of summer include some paint work (rockers and fenders), the Stealth bulbs, and removing the rear lift block (again, hopefully next weekend).

*update*

got my stealth technologies bulbs in the mail today. Quickly popped them in, and I'm very happy with the results.

Overall, I'm happy with the look. I've completely eliminated all the orange on the exterior

I've done the same thing with the chrome bulbs in mine. When you get that rear block out it will level your truck right out. One of the 1st things i did to mine.

That painted headlight thing came out looking really good!

Truck is super clean and tasteful! I really like the look with the exception of the roll pan...

I like it, I think you just gave me an idea for my next weekend project.

have fun! it was a nice little project. My biggest piece of advice is to take your time when pulling the headlights apart. Don't get frustrated and do something irrational. Second piece of advice is to use a whole tube of permatex on each individual housing. When you think you've used enough....put some more on. you can cut the excess off with a utility knife after it dries. My passenger side bumper light has a small leak in it somewhere....now I've got to tear it all apart again and re-seal it.

Grumble Grumble Grumble :)
