So two or three houses down the street there is this neon green Eclipse with full graphics, deer antler wings, fart can, aftermarket wheels, and even has some custom body work from being rear ending.

Anyway, he pulled out in front of me going down our street.  We pull out onto the main drag and he gets on it (I could hear the pissed off bees in the muffler) so I turn onto the main drag and floor it and reel him in.

We get caught at the light, I'm behind him in the left lane (Cause there is a semi in the right lane), light goes green, he gets on it, I get on it, and he couldn't pull on me  There was maybe a car or two between us.  :D

Pretty pathetic that he couldn't walk around from my 6,300lb brick, but hey at least his car looks cool!   :lookaround:

Kinda reminds me of a minature Doberman we used to have.  He thought he was full sized dog.  It was really funny to watch him bow up(now there's a country phrase) and pose.

One of the first tickets I ever got was for drag racing on the street.  Me driving my 1964 Rambler 220 station wagon with a 194 ci flat head 6 cylinder against my buddies 1966 Chevelle 396, 4 speed, 4:10 gears, headers, intake and other goodies.  We went to court with the NHRA rule book and talked our way out of getting fined or the points on our records.  The cop was hot when the judge let us off but he had no come back when we started talking about ET's and bracket racing. :D

LOL!

I had a somewhat similar experience about two years ago coming home from cruise nights in my friend's 68 Chevelle that is tubbed, caged and has a 540 cube mill under the hood.

My friend was a little toasted from consuming illegal substances and gave me the keys to drive.  So I'm thinking "#### YEA!!!"  Mind you, this is about 1am.

I'm cruising along and we come to an intersection controlled by a lowly stop sign.  We come to a stop.  Look both ways, he tells me to set the line lock (which I happily did cause I knew what he was gonna ask me to do next), and told me to "HIT IT!"  I happily obliged!  Another thing to keep in mind, is that this thing could wake the dead when idling, let alone the noise pollution it makes at a steady 4,000rpm! :D

Well, it doesn't take much for a 540 cube motor to twist those MT Sportsmans  and I let it re-pave the intersection for about 2 minutes, hit the switch for the line lock and proceeded to re-pave the street for about a block.

So we are now about a block from his house, I turn down a side street so I can swing into his driveway when outta nowhere comes a Lombard cop.

We go through the standard "license, registration, and insurance please" mantra and the cop asks "Do you know why I'm stopping you?"  We both look at each other and decided to act naive, I turn and respond "no officer, I don't!"  "Well son, that nice little smoke show you did back there is why."

My friend now pipes up from the passenger seat and explains that he was letting me drive and that I didn't realize the car was that powerful (hey...it was worth a try!).  So the cop takes his flashlight, shines it throughout the car at the roll cage and parachute lines and replies "I think he kinda knew that when he got in!"
