Removing Oil Stains From Paved Driveway

An old high school friend dropped by for a night enroute to BC in his Ford. And of course, keeping with tradition, the Ford had to mark its territory in my newly paved driveway!

Who has had success removing oil/power steering fluid from a paved drive? Are there any proven home remedies or store bought stain removers you have had good results with?

Tks

Dawn dish soap and a little effort.

I've personally used this product on multiple occasions....works great. Just pour it on the stain, let it dry and sweep or wash it off.

OSR isn't for asphalt drives tho...

"OSR removes stains resulting from motor oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, diesel fuel, antifreeze, cooking oil and grease. Do not use on asphalt or painted surfaces"

Am trying some dish liquid first with some elbow grease and daddy juice... see what happens...

But yes, anything that is advertised to cut through grease or oil will work. Get a stiff brush and scrub real good.

Except that if it is too harsh it eats through the tar in the asphalt.

I have had good luck with Castrol SuperClean.

Make sure you soak as much as you can up with KittyLitter first...really grind the Litter in woth your boot. Sweep it up and scrub clean with whatever product you decide on.

First get a lawn chair. Then get your favorite, chilled adult beverage...then call the Furd driver over and make him clean it up. Harass him while he's cleaning it up about how he bought the wrong truck.

and then after he's done cleaning the Driveway, show him all the nice features of YOUR Truck, and laugh at all the Useless features of his truck!

I'd rather get two lawn chairs, my favorite chilled adult beverage, then invite my friend back over to enjoy both with me. Because he's my friend, and it's just the driveway.

But I don't care so much about the driveway.

Hard to call him over.... he's in Edmonton now!

I did ask him if he had the latest Ford option, the "heated tail gate"

He says "Heated tail gate?!?!?" Yes... to keep your hands warm while you push it !!!!

Its not a big deal, just bugged me a bit cuz I just had it done and I would have liked to keep it "new" at least for 1 summer...

Oh, well... I'll have a Daddy Juice on his behalf.
