Auto Climate Control - Always Freezing...help!

2010 Tahoe LT with dual zone automatic climate control. When outside temp reading 55F - cold air blows even when set to 75....80...85....89 (although fan decreases in speed) - even after driving a while to let engine "heat up". When turned to 90F hot air finally blows (very warm). Took to dealer who blew me off a little and said that "it's more complex than the temp of air coming out of the vent".........they kept it for a day and said that it works fine I just have to turn off the ac and run it at 90 until it heats up.......I have never had a GM - this is not how auto climate control worked in previous cars I owned - AC always remained on (unless really cold) to dehumidify...and air from vent was not freezing cold - unusable as it is now.

Help!!!! do I really "not get it" or is the dealer wrong...I bought this truck one month ago!

I would try a different dealer. It sounds like this one doesn't know what they are talking about. Mine doesn't do anything like this. mine doesn't even blow until it warms up (when the heat is on anyway.)

Stupid question, but do you have the "auto" turned on. If it's off, the fan continues to blow like you're describing (in my 2008 anyways). When I click auto, then it fully regulates the temperature and fan operation.

I have this problem in my '03. When set to "Auto" and a desired temperature of anything less than 80 degrees, it seems to blow "max cold" even after the temperature has fallen well below the set point. I would have to guess that the interior temperature sensor has gone bad, but I haven't had it checked out...I just keep manually turning the fan down (and then the climate control system starts recirculating to "compensate" for my interfering...).
