Greeting from GA, am new to this forum. I bought, what was suppose to be a 77 Chevy silverado, from a guy who posted it on ebay. Although I had called him several times and asked to see more pics he never could upload more than what was already his ebay site. I also asked several times the model of the truck as I did not in any pics either. Low and behold I was the winning bidder wo flew out to Cali to pick up the truck. Prior to flying out there I asked the guy to please change the oil, spark plugs, oil filter, and airfilter, and put a new radiator hose, and new belts.....the guy says "sure" be gald to do that if you pay me for the material costs, and so I said sure just keep the receipts. when I got there, he was really reluctant to allow me to see under the hood only to find out that he had done absolutely NOTHING of what I asked. The airbreather was blacker than black and the oil looked same. To make matters worse, it did not turn out to be a silverado, but rather a Bonanza.....I had never heard of that name before. He refused to refund me my money as it was sold as is, but he had lied on the ad he placed on ebay. Anyways I took the truck, as by that time I was totally furious and frustrated. drove thirty miles, and my gut feeling said to find an auto parts store. opened the hood and the radiator hose was ready to pop, with a huge bubble. I bought new plugs and wires, fresh oil and a container to drip it into, and all the necessary tools along with tranny fluid...made sure that I was stocked up with pre mixed anti freeze and oil and tranny fluid. the store manager was kind enough to allow me to drive to the back and do the necessary repairs. It took us about an hour and half but we got it done.

I drove from California to GA, on what I swear were the original tires. I had to buy fix a flat as one would deflate on me and had to check it every 100 miles. We helped a few people along the way around the salt flats where the outside temp was 105 and many newre vehicles (5 which we counted) had their hoods up and over heating. It took us 5 days to drive back but we did it without any mishaps.

Now that is what I call a true adventure. Mom and daughter tripsing across the country in a 1977 Chevy Bonanza with the original tires, and the bozo of a guy did not even change nothing I had asked him too.

Any how I still have it, and am deciding if I should sell it or keep it as I have my 59 Chevy to finish up.

It would need two new front quarters which last I checked were 140 each, which I thought waspretty decenent price. But again I need to finish my 59 first.

How can I find out what this truck is worth?

Post up some pictures, and maybe seeing it some people will have an idea on the price. And help people look it up. Glad you made your trip safely.

It sure was, especially climbing through the mountains that we had to climb 5 miles up, but it was the going down which was scary as I had no idea how good the brakes were, and when was the last time anything had been done to them....Thanks for the welcome!
