I don't know if anyone else has done this, but I have and I think it is pretty neat. I don't think GM has really advertised it yet but it may be a way for GM to interact with their customers more and send them information faster. If you look on almost all the GM Brand Websites: www.gmc.com, www.chevy.com, www.oldsmobile.com, www.buick.com, www.cadillac.com, www.pontiac.com, there is a link, either at the top of the page or down the side to the left, that says "OWNERS." If you click on this link, you can setup a username and password. Once you are in, you have the option of entering your VIN. Then GM will keep you informed as to any issues related to your vehicle, recalls etc. There is also information, service intervals and reminders, and even a section where you can go and keep track of all of your service, whether you take it to a dealer, garage or do the work yourself. If you don't want to enter your VIN number you don't have to you can just enter your vehicle information, year, make, and model. You can still use the features, except that you will not be sent information that is specific to your vehicle. I just wanted to let everyone know about this feature. You may like it, you might not. But at least it is available if you want it. Enjoy. :;):

I get enough junk mail at home already, thaks ;)  It's bad enough GMAC sells our addresses to credit card companies, etc.

I get recall info automatically and service & maintenance info is easy enough to track at home.
