doublelp Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I had a set of custom HID headlights made for my '09 Sierra. I am a big fan of HID's, but they have to be in proper projectors to keep the glare down for oncoming drivers. So the headlights are a quad HID Bi-xenon projector setup (lows and highs) along with 3 LED strips in each headlight. They were custom made by a company in NY. I am not sure if I can post the company name here since they are not a sponsor of the site, so if anyone wants the name of the company I can PM you the info. Here are the pics! Day shot of the headlights A close up of the headlights during the day. Night shot with just the LED's on. They come on with the parking lights. Low beam HID projectors on. I was able to pick the bottom projectors for the lows because that way I can get a better aim with the projectors. Close up of the lows and LED strips. Quad HID highs. I hope everyone likes them! The light output is fantastic! Unfortunately I do not have any pictures of the light output and the cutoff yet, but I will soon!
GMGuy84 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 I really like how that looks. Do you mind me asking how much that cost and where you got it done at?
KMGZ400 Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 that looks really good.. the quad hid is probably blinding bright.
doublelp Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 I really like how that looks. Do you mind me asking how much that cost and where you got it done at? The cost was around $1000-$1500 (depending on what you want done), but worth every penny. I will PM you the company name and website. that looks really good.. the quad hid is probably blinding bright. They are very bright. They light up the road rather well.
lsuguy Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 There's a company down here that does the exact same thing for vehicles. When I emailed them asking about our GMC's they said the housing was too square and would not work. I should send these pics.. But looks super sweet! I love it
700 sportsman Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Wow, those do look outstanding , I really like the way those look, and the strips are pretty neat too, shot me a PM with their info. when you get time.
Jnk Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 That has got to be the best looking set of projector housings I have seen for these trucks. The rest look really cheesy. I got real excited until I saw the price though. Good job, you will be the only one around you with some like that. I like different.
