Whats your thoughts on a k&n intake. Found it new for 239 shipped.

I used to use k&n on everything, but theres been alot of posts about intake,, look in heavy duty. i had a post in there a while back its now 4 pages long about inakes.. guys that have done the research know k&n are/is one of the worst because of its LACK of filtration and how dirty it gets the maf.

I think im going to go with a dry filter of somekind.

Also guys test showed the oem delco filter having the best airflow,not to mention best filtering

Which K&N kit?

The filter/box/hose

or

Just the filter and box/

If it the first one then it's a very good deal. If the second one then that might be a little high. I just won a Volant CAI with extra filter for $225 shipped, It should be here today, can't wait.

That said, I ran K&N on my Airaid knock off CAI and didn't have a single problem with dirt/MAF/over oiling.

I've had a K&N for about eight months now. Love it. It's the stainless steel pipe, so I have an insulation blanket that goes over it to keep the air temperature low.

Can't go wrong with a K&N.
