Proper Location For Clutch Lower Pushrod Mount

Recommended Posts

I have an 83 C20 and the clutch goes out of adjustment. The bell crank (Z bar) on the lower end where the swivel on the lower pushrod assembly connects has two holes - my swivel is mounted in the lower hole. This lower hole seems to be worn out, causing the swivel to rack/twist in the hole. Could this be causing the clutch to lose its adjustment? The second hole, higher up on the Z bar, has a raised boss on one side, and has a less sloppy hole for the swivel pivot end. Should I be using this second (higher) hole instead of the lower one? Thanks.
