I have a 2007 seirra classic. I have the dreaded 5 mph brake pulse. I pulled the fuse, just untill I can fix the problem. That seemed to fix it, but I have the lights on now. Since pulling the fuse fixed it, can I assume that my problem is the abs module? I pulled the plug going to it and it looked clean. I also pulled the plug at both front tires abd they looked clean. What else could it be. I don't want to pay the stealership 100 to look at it plus how ever much to fix it. Also, who would have a good price on the module. Thanks.

easy on the stealership comment, you want to assume and throw money at your truck,go ahead, just remember that wasted money thru self diagnoses could have paid for the correct diag

You need the guys at the dealer ship to help you out but you are calling them theives. trust me the techs there aren't getting the money your paying, and they have alot of money in training and tools.

Most the time the abs activation at lows speeds is from front wheel speed sensors dropping out because of excessive air gap from sensor to reluctor ring. Usually rust built up on the hub where the WSS insert into the hub assy. FIX remove problem side or both side WSS clean surface, apply anti corossion lube and reinstall sensor.

I wasn't calling the techs theives. I was calling the dealership a theif. I have dealt with the techs and they are good. I just am trying to save some money up for college this fall, so I don't have the 100 to 150 to pay them. How hard is it to check the speed sensor? Thanks. Sorry if I offended any of you guys that are techs.

If it is a 1500. then all you will need to do is remove: brake caliper and bracket, rotor, then you should be able to access the WSS, be careful removing allen bolt also very carefull removing WSS. some models the rotor backing plate may be in the way.
