So i just bought an 06 silverado 1500 vortec max and can't wait to lift it. This is my first truck and i was just wondering what the best 6" lift would be for my new baby. I love how it handles stock, want to beef it up and make it offroad ready without sacrificing road performance. It is my daily driver and it will see a lot of snow in the tahoe area this winter. i want the best lift for my buck and willing to pay top dollar, looking to stay away from blocks and run up to 35's. hit me up with suggestions thanks.

Not to sound off like a prick, but use the search button for name brand lifts such as FABTECH, BDS, SKYJACKER, etc... there are plenty of threads on the subject in regards to "lift kits." Seeing the majority of everyone here are running a variety of different kits, you are going to get the run around on what to pick based off their personal preference.

as stated.. everyone is going to say "my lift is best"... so dont expect to get a straight up answer with a thread like this.

superlift, rancho, bds, cognito, etc all have quality kits.

you can always order spring packs seperately instead of blocks; superlift and bds sell springs.

He was being helpful man. Unlike you, he has been here awhile and has seen the question asked over and over. This is one of the most helpful truck forums I am a part of. He said it like it is. Use the search function on the site to search for those name brands. If people would respond here, which they didn't, they would all say the best is whatever is installed on their truck. The list of companies that were listed above are the top suspension companies. No matter which one of those you go with you will be extremely satisfied.

And your right, you cam for opinions, well these are our opinions. Look up these companies and see what fits into your price range

Goodluck :jester:

MINES THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!

hmmm... werent you the one who was pissed off that no one here recommended the superlift or bds and that you wish you went with one of those instead of the fabtech??? :jester:

My superlift kit was missing many parts and when I called they knew that they were missing. I didnt like that at all. The right spindle was drilled in the wrong place also. Not very good customer service..

I went with Fabtech. Love it, but would of gone with a Cognito, BDS, Superlift, or CST as well. They are all pretty much the same, with their own little differences.

The only lift I feel comfortable recommending is the 3" rough country suspension.
